Founded in July 2013, The Crab Cab Food Truck is a 5 Star mobile restaurant on wheels. But, we are affordable! We use the freshest ingredients to create delectable soups, and sumptuous finger-licking crab cakes. But the menu doesn’t stop there! We also offer succulent hickory smoked salmon. It literally melts in your mouth. Don’t believe us? Just make sure when you see our signature yellow and black checkerboard logo with Mr. Crabby on it with his shades on that you hail us to stop like a New York City Cab. You will be glad that you did.

I heard so much positive reviews about Crab Cab . I love crabs and seafood I had to go and see for myself. We drove 4 hours from New Jersey to the Crab Cab.The restaurant is clean, nice decor and the hostess really nice and knowledgeable about the menu. She explained what the items on the menu were and we ordered almost everything on the menu. When I tell you the food was hot and we started eating,BABE!!! Everything we ate was so delicious. The drinks the firecracker and strawberry lemonade were so good even the water was clear cold and good . Believe the reviews everything there is delicious.

So I called a few minutes before arrival in which I was told no wait. In which we ended up waiting a long time once we showed up. Then, the place is small. You are sitting on top of eachother. You can see the bar and kitchen easy. But, it’s a tiny place but it smelled clean.

This place is black owned however the cooks are Latino which still represents our black and brown communities. We took our mum here for mothers day and really injoyed the food and service. Great place for creative seafood dishes and a great atmosphere. Great food! Great music! Great service! Great Vibes! We had the salmon tacos, seafood eggrolls, salmon sandwich, brussel sprouts, and the seafood pasta. We also injoyed the mocktails and cocktails. I highly recommend eating here soon after the open so the place wont be too crowded, unless you are looking for a popping spot then come anytime, you can sit at the bar and have a great time indoor or outdoor.

My friend and I dined here last night and had a sub par experience. The shrimp tacos tasted okay…the condiments/seasonings they used on the tacos didn’t blend well but it was edible. We ordered crabs fries (see attached picture of how they brought it out to the table) which were not good. Not sure what type of crab meat was used but there wasn’t much meat and it didn’t taste crabby. The fries themselves tasted like they had crab seasoning which gave off a burnt, off putting flavor. Idk what the sauce was but it was disgusting. The service was horrible – we had to get up to find our waitress to ask for a glass of water, to ask for plates (after we had already asked once) and to get the check. And no – the place was not crowded/busy so I’m not sure why service was so inadequate. I had high hopes for this place because of their taco Tuesday deal but I definitely won’t be coming back.

Recommendation from a coworker. We tried it out and thought the atmosphere, service, drinks and food were good. Definitely a nice place to meet friends. Good music playing and large flat screens playing sports/news. The crab cakes were done well and had good seasoning. The place isn’t that big though so you may have a wait depending on when you go. Ordering to go might be a good option too.
