First time eating here food was amazing! The best calzone I have had in years! The crust light and crispy. The sauce was not to hardy and not overpowering. Service was the best I have had in a long time. She was super friendly and attentive. Very clean also! You have to try this secret hide a way out! Make sure to ask for David

1st Visit at Gusto’s. Had a great experience. The restaurant was very clean and well decorated. The food was outstanding. The pizza and lasagna was very good and fresh and very HOT. The side salad was good. And the homemade Ranch and Italian dressings were delicious. Make sure you give them a try. I can’t wait to go back.

Today we were going to travel out of town to try a restaurant that was recommended to us. It’s been awhile since we have done a trip and checked out a new restaurant but because of the rain we stayed local and went to Gusto’s Pizza. We have heard good things about it but thought we would try it ourselves. We got a cheeseburger and a Philly cheese steak sub and cheese fries and onion rings. For dessert we got their Baklava and it was delicious. We just got a pizza somewhere else earlier in the week so we were not in the mood to try Pizza this trip. Everything was delicious the service was good and the staff was very friendly and the price wasn’t bad. We’re going to go back again and try the pizza. But I do recommend this place it was good and thankfully close to us! The restaurant is located on the corner of 7th street and College Ave. across from Skyline Cleaners.

After a 3 hour ride back home, we decided to eat out and choose pizza. We pass Gustos Pizza place every time we head home from shopping and decide to stop in and give it a try. At the entrance, we were welcomed by a out door sitting area. This area was dull looking. Although there were tables and chairs, everything looked thrown around. We entered into a small sitting area that held about 30 to 35 guests. We sat at a 2 seater and was greeted by the server and asked for 2 unsweetened teas. As we looked over a full service menu, I tried a sip of my tea. It tasted like suds. The server ( no name tag) replaced them with water. We ordered or food. I requested a Hawaii pizza and a side salad. My husband ordered, and the server came out to say they were out of that dish. He reordered, and then my salad was served. The cucumbers had been frozen and were very nasty. Our main dish arrived. My pizza was ok. The pineapple was not drained, and the pizza had a pile of juice in the middle. The Chicken Alfredo was hot and delicious. I will have to say that our visit was not good and we will probably not be back.

Randomly decided to stop here during my first time in Salem and it did not disappoint! My husband loved his cold sub and I loved my cheese lovers calzone. The lemon cupcakes were delicious too! Friendly service as well. We will definitely be back next time we are in town!
