In the morning I was watching the local Fox News from Springfield Missouri and they interviewed the originator of Pappo’s Pizza. I know that there was a franchise restaurant in front of the hotel in St Robert Missouri so I decided to have dinner there that night. A nice variety on the menu is accentuated with the numerous pizza choices size from an individual pie up to a large family size. All this is topped off with the not to be forgotten brown butter cookies. I ordered an image pie with a combinations of meat and some veggies, and of course six of the brown butter cookies. The pie was everything they said it was in the news report that morning. Had a delightful crust not too thick not too thin and a nice chew to it situated with the flavor the meat, vegetables, and sauce. I will admit I didn’t really taste a lot of the cheese, but it was still a very good pizza. My cookies arrived when I was finished and they were just oozing with the butter that they’re made with. Even though the cookies are kind of protected inside the box they managed to seep through to the through the bottom giving it that nice oily feeling. It’s a good thing I looked at it before I set it down on the table in my hotel room. I was really full from the pizza so I didn’t need any the cookies right away I had one later on in the evening and it was extremely tasty. I managed to nurse that supply of cookies for another 3 days. Now that’s willpower. I’m glad that papo’s is not nearby because I definitely would be pounding the calories I would with their pizza and the brown butter cookies. If you see one in your area don’t hesitate to stop look them up on the web because they have numerous locations and surprisingly there’s one in Huntsville Alabama. Since that is sort of a hunting ground of mine, I’m going to have to look that one up.

Stopped here one night while we were passing through town while on a 8K plus mile road trip across the country. This was one of the few places around that even though seemed to be a chain restaurant, it’s not a chain I am familiar with in the Northeastern part of the US. The beer choices were great, lots of different items to choose from. The menu was pretty extensive, I opted for a pizza. The dough was great, light crispy, not too thick, a great portion of toppings. Really hit the spot. The bartender behind the bar, literally cleaned, and cleaned and cleaned. Granted it was towards the end of night, but she never once made us feel like we were unwelcomed being that they were closing shortly. I was rather impressed at the amount of cleaning she was doing, made me think and feel that more than just what could be seen was just as clean. We would definitely eat here again if we see another location.

Our waitress was very friendly. She was incredibly busy but still made sure we had everything we needed. The lunch specials are a very good deal. My husband had a calzone. The bread to filling ratio was perfect. The spinach and walnut salad is flat out addictive. I ordered the pizza bowl. It was amazing. You can customize your pizza bowl without any hassle. Overall the food was terrific and the service was great. It would be wonderful if the pizza bowls were added to the lunch specials.

This place is simply amazing. We had house salads, with thin crust prosciutto pizza (substituted onions for pineapple). The food, service, cleanliness, and atmosphere were perfect. I searched for something to be unhappy and thr only thing I could complain about was that their forks are very chintzy.

We are only visiting Missouri for a short time, and have been super excited to find this pizza place. From appetizers to dessert, we were happy and satisfied with our meal. They have so many options with a wide choice of toppings. You can make your own or choose from the list! They offer salads and sandwiches as well if you’re not a pizza fan.

First time visit for dinner on a Friday and this place was packed. Almost a 30 minute wait for a table but once seated we ordered and the food came in a timely manner. The pizza was good and the beer was cold. Drink menu is only online so you have to have a smart phone to read the menu. It was very loud we could hardly hold a conversation at our table. Maybe next time we will order to go but there are other pizza places that have just as good or better pizza.
