A Hamtramck mainstay for years, Amar Pizza makes some of the most unique pizzas in metro Detroit. If you like spicy, the Ghost Pepper Pizza is perfect. Topped with tandoori chicken, cilantro, and red onion, the star is the ghost pepper sauce. It’s fiery and addictive. The dry fish pizza is equally spicy and absolutely delicious if you like the pungent fish flavor. Family owned and operated, the service is wonderful too.

Hands off some of the most interesting pizzas I’ve ever had. I got a large pizza, half dry fish and half naga pepper. Both were delicious and surprisingly spicy. Glad they didn’t skimp on the heat. The dry fish pizza actually tasted like the “Shutki” my mom used to make. The only reason I took a star off is because for the price of the large pizza ($18), I wasn’t impressed with the size. It was about a 14″ diameter pie sliced into 8 slices. A large should be bigger in my opinion. Besides that, I loved everything.
