The food here is incredible. Located conveniently across the public library and a short walk from the bus transit. Ordered a mouth-watering brisket sandwich while my husband ordered the corned beef sandwich. Did not disappoint. Generous portions of tender juiciness. The pub itself could use some updating. Service was friendly and quick. Will go again soon. 8/10

Update 07/21/2023: Took take away as I loved the previous vist but it was extremely disappointing. Had the same NY Fat Burger, which was bland and the Beef was disappointing. Champ Champ had over cooked Beef with very bad taste. Altogether it added up to a extremely dissatisfied experience. Won’t visit again.

I’ve been here a few times and they do have some pretty decent food. This time I got the pastrami and corned beef which was warm, tender and full of flavor. My son got the Wells Street Burger and he said it was delicious. They also have a nice beer selection and the service has always been friendly and prompt. As expected it’s a casual place and a perfect place to watch a game or catch up with some friends.

I am born and raised in Chitown and had a hankering for a Chicago style hotdog…I was not disappointed. Service is kinda sketchy but they were super busy so it’s understandable. I’d go again, for sure. Oh , and get the fries…

Food was ok. I got the pulled pork. It was very salty. I think I’d try a cheeseburger next time. You get a huge serving of fries, plenty to share! The service was a bit slow, especially for a lunch hour. The restaurant was clean. I’ll give it another try, maybe for dinner next time.

It’s 5 star only if you like burgers, bbq, smoked wings and good cold beer on tap in a pretty laid back but nicely done environment. We all thought the waiter was great they just seemed a little short staffed. But it is summertime in a college town so half the population is gone! In fact a lot of places are closed in the summer. Glad Fat Dan’s stays open!

I came here with a friend and we ended up leaving very full and satisfied! The first thing you’ll notice is a loud and very friendly greeting from the staff then being told to sit wherever you want. Next, the waiter we had, Maddie, was extremely fun, personable, and gave us a great first timer rundown. They have a wide selection of Chicago style everything which will make lovers of this kind of food keep coming back. Overall, I highly recommend visiting at least a few times.
