Friendly service and good sized portions – a lot of rice of which I would prefer a bit less. You have a choice of brown or white rice. Their soft boiled eggs are well seasoned with good flavor. We enjoy the teriyaki salmon and pork katsu.

Great shop if your in the mood for a Donburi. You grab any bowl and make a combo with either soup or salad and 2 additional options. I got the Pork cartilage, salad, soy sauce egg and potato salad. Overall I thought it was tasty. Would go again.

Barely enough curry to cover 3 pieces of katsu, we had so much dry rice leftover. Meat was dry and curry was oily and lacked the sweetness of good Japanese curry. Wouldn’t recommend this place, go to Nippon Curry instead.

Good flavors and nice texture. A bit difficult to eat out of the deep bowl but good value for money in an otherwise dry expensive city.

Hands down the best Katsu in 2years! It’s crispy outside and juicy inside – the perfect amount of curry to keep it flavorful but not heavy-sauced. Adding to it, the portion is very generous given the price- luckily it’s lunch so I don’t feel guilty lol

Nice relaxed lunch place, with rice bowls and decent Japanese carbonated apple juice. There was a mesmerizing silent video playing on one TV of some sort of Korean pastry being made — it was mouth-watering to watch and a little disappointing they didn’t seem to sell it in the store.

Ordered pork cartilage bowl that contained absolutely no pork cartilage.

Great place to grab a donburi bowl in an area that always can use another good lunch spot. Located on Harrison between 3rd and 4th, it is right next to Whole Foods. Only a block from Moscone, but is actually 2.5 blocks from the Moscone visitors entrance. They have signature bowls with pork tendon, mapo, tofu, unagi, and other proteins, or you can order chipotle-style from a list, choosing your base (white rice with veggies, brown rice, or salad) and then your protein. There are a number of added cost extras to round out the bowl, such as egg, mushrooms or kimchi. You can dine in and sit at one of the several tables or you can order to-go. I waited less than 3 minutes for my pork cartilage bowl (tendon) over brown rice, which does not include any mixed veggies (the white rice bowl does). I would try the white rice next time, just to get the veggies. The pork was well-prepared, being tender but firm (not overly soft). The fukujinzuke (pickled veggie) is a great complement to the richness of the pork. Staff is friendly and enthusiastic. Note that they are open for lunch until 3pm, then reopen at 5pm for dinner.

I got the pork cartilage bowl and it was the best lunch I have had near the office yet.
