We have been touring the US looking for local food favorites and the Crooked Pint filled the bill.

Honestly this was the worst experience I’ve had at a restaurant in long time. We came in at 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Sunday. It was not busy, our server check on us one time and that was to take our order. My husband drank his beer and never got asked if he needed more. We ordered the poutine which was goos but the giant pretzel and beer cheese dip, if you can call it that. The dip had a sand texture and tasted like cheese wiz at best. It was gross, picture below.

Great service, always solid food, clean modern atmosphere. Good place to watch sports, and one of the few places in Fargo to get a juicy Lucy. Their brunch is very good as well like the hangover and huge stuffed tater tots.

I had lunch there today with my son, daughter in law, and two grandsons. The food was excellent, including a small, seasonal salad with strawberries and spinach. We also had a burger, tacos, poutine, and a Reuben – it was all very good. And, our server Olivia was really sweet and helpful.. Highly recommend.

Came in for a quick bite so I sat at the bar. They handed me a menu and a water and I couldn’t decide between two burgers. I wanted my bartender’s recommendation but she never made I contact with me. I couldn’t get her attention. So after 20 minutes I am pretty sure I was not welcomed. So I left for another restaurant. It’s too bad because I usually overtip.

My tator tots were over cooked and my friend asked for no Mayo and it was slathered all over both sides of her sandwich. No one came back to the table until time to bring the ticket. Then the waitress went to talk to the manager (we didn’t ask her to) and didn’t come back. We had to go ask for our ticket so we could leave.

I’ve been to this place a few times now, each one at a different time of day. Each time I’ve gone the place doesn’t seem very busy, so I’ve never had any issue with finding a seat or inattentive staff. The location is the old Green Mill, and from that floor design it seems that they have opened it up and changed the interior design of the place. Giving it a more relaxed feel. The gastronomic side of the place however seems to have declined a bit. The food that I’ve had wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t anything special. If you happened to go during a special I think the food is worth the price. Right now they have a great deal going through February on Jucy Lucy’s that is a steal, $5.99 for the burger and fries. This is what I got tonight, and while I thought the burger itself was a little overcooked, its hard to argue with the price. Other than that, service has always been the shining star of this establishment, with staff always making sure that you have everything you need and ensuring you are satisfied.

The food was good. Burgers were great. The service unfortunately wasn’t super great. Our server kept disappearing and not being able to find her for drink refills, etc. Which, on a busy night, I could understand, but it was not at all busy. Other than that, overall, it was a good visit, and we’d go back again.
