For the price the portions for take out are very disappointing. Especially for fried rice. It’s probably the most inexpensive item on the menu. Could keep a satisfied customer coming back if the to go box was filled like most places do around here. We got the general saos chicken and same with the portions for the price. Sadly won’t be going back for this reason. Will try another place instead.

This was our first time here, great food we had a group of 9 adults and 4 small kids. The food was authentic and plentiful in portions. Their spicy mustard was amazing , we had 9 different dishes, they have large group menus.

Don’t get me wrong, your food is good. BUT, ease off the salt especially the crispy Gau Gee, it’s was way too salty.

Food is good and enjoyed each time we visit. Been to restaurant branches in Liliha, and Kailua. We arrived on a typical Kaneohe winter rainy day so nice to have a sheltered walkway two steps up from the parking spaces. Nicer walk in compared to the Kailua restaurant where walking in the rain a bit more challenging, being farther and w walk paths flood making for a splashy walk.

Food is good. Very similar to what I grew up eating. At least I didn’t get food poisoning here like I did 6x at another Kaneohe town favorite. So I made the switch to this restaurant and the family has been very happy.

At first, everyone was suspicious. The restaurant is in a hole-in-the-wall building. The decor was outdated and the dining area was empty. But what the heck, we’re on an adventure and I need to find my go-to place for Chinese food. Turned out to be a great decision! Service was great, portions were huge, prices were reasonable, and I’ve found my spot for fried rice! Personally didn’t care for the crab rangoons, but that’s very much a matter of personal taste. Sweet and sour chicken was great. Next time I want to try the salt and pepper wings. Definitely recommend, great place for take-out.

Been coming to Mui Kwai about 2 x a month for the last 40 years.. it is the best Chinese food on the windward side. I Don’t think those 1 star reviewers even know what great Chinese food is…

I appreciate that they have black sugar manapua and the pork hash is very meaty. Those are my two favorite dim sum here. Also tried their almond cookies that come in the plastic tub. Crunchy yet delicious. Prices seem decent.
