Food is always outstanding at Ohana grill. It is colorful, healthy, and delicious. Restaurant is BYOB and there is a small 4-5 spot parking lot outside. Inside and outside seating. Seriously, everything is outrageous and a very nice variety on the menu.

It pains me to provide a less than stellar rating given we have wanted to try Ohana for over a year and even made a reservation over a week ago all based on the other stellar reviews. Maybe they’re having an off day.

Absolutely loved this restaurant! The food was so amazing. They had so many gluten free options and also many daily specials for appetizers and dinners. All the staff were very friendly and our server was great too. Yes there is limited parking (it’s Lavallette, small beach town wth do you expect?) And guess what calms live in the ocean (the kitchen staff cannot get out every damn piece of sand) I truly hate people that leave reviews like that!!!!

Our server was nice. Food was mediocre at best. I order the “jumbo lump crab cakes”. I had to ask our server if she gave me the right dish. It didn’t taste or look anything like crab. $32 for breadcrumbs and peppers with a bland corn salsa under it. Don’t advertise “jumbo lump crabmeat” when you don’t provide it. Terrible.

Went here for a nice dinner. Crispy pork belly was succulent and flavorful, served over a fresh and wonderfully spicy kimchi. The Thai Curry, Day Scallop Risotto, and Salmon Bowl were bright, fresh and done right. Lobster tails were cooked to perfection. Request Kayley as your server. She was a delight and Alex was an amazing server assistant.

Having worked in food service, I rarely complain.

Very busy but they were able to accommodate our party of two. The seared Ahi Tuna, ordered rare was tough and dry in comparison to other places I’ve had it. The rice that it came with was pretty greasy and average flavors, the ‘slaw’ was very one dimensional, seemed like cabbage just added to the plate. My friend ordered the lobster ravioli and it was chewy and under cooked. The great thing was it’s BYOB and there’s a liquor store right across the street. We did share the Thai calamari and the crème brûlée, pretty standard for both. The waitress was kind and attentive. The young staff accompanying the host was communicative and considerate.

They had a great selection of Hawaiian inspired food. It was hard to choose what to get, everything looked so good. The ribs appetizer was especially amazing. The curry seafood is super spicy which was perfect for us. But may be too much for the average spice lover. The coconut rice was amazing. I could eat an entire plate of that alone. My waistline is grateful that they gave a moderate portion.

We had an outdoor reservation tonight and when we got there they “didn’t know what happened with the tables” and could not seat us outside. We were a party of 4 with a reservation and they had 2 couples at 2 4 tops and no where for us to sit.
