Had a wonderful litter dinner this evening. Lob carb. Ken had pork chops and eggs a d loved it . Always has good food. Tables, booths, or counter to sit at. You can find a place to park if just eating it for the night too if needed. Go slow in the parking lot, some holes.

I keep trying to go breakfast platters and even tried dinner twice. So disappointed with the food and service. They act like they really do not want you there. And the food has terrible flavor and never seems to be cooked right or is sitting under a heat lamp for too long so it dries all the juice and good flavor out.

I have eaten there off and on since I was a kid. With my dad and step mom. They lived a few minutes from it, and I decided to go back last night for old times and memories sake. Food is good but could be better. I think that my liver was a bit overcooked and I was given way to few onions with it. But the other items I ordered with it were great.

I cannot rate the food or service but I can rate my experience. I got off I-30W looking for a gas station and a restroom. They road signs said one was there with a restaurant. It was large and you definitely couldn’t miss it as you were still exiting. What I missed was it was an exit AND entrance right there. I continued around the ramp and entered from a different side. The property is huge as it is a truck stop with a lot of parking. I drove around between parked trucks until I found the restaurant. The hostess graciously directed me to the restrooms. The “Ladies” was adequate in size, quite clean even if decor was somewhat dated. I cannot speak to the food. It was between breakfast and lunch. They apparently offer a food bar at certain times but it was not open nor were several seating areas. The one closest to the front was over half full and people were happily visiting as they ate. I was not hungry so I was glad to see shelves with items for sale near the register. I found something I could use for a reasonable price. The hostess called the manager to check me out, at which time I found the lovely items are rung up under a key for Annie’s Attic. Nice items even if selection is limited. I will try to find this listed and continue my review there.

15 minutes for someone to notice there was a customer. Another half hour to get served. Apparently the picture is what they think a $15 meal should look like. Yes. That’s one piece of bacon. I guess they figure you don’t need any more when the burger is the side of a slider from White Castle. Really the only good thing I can say is the iced tea is good. I’ve been out here on the road long enough to remember when this was a good restaurant. I won’t be wasting my valuable break time coming here again though. For perspective, that burger is sitting next to one of those one ounce condiment cups. The food wasn’t offensive. It was just half of what you would have gotten in a Happy Meal for a third of the price. I really have a hard time squaring all the good reviews on here with my experience.
