I dropped in today to get two fish sandwiches with chup (cholula + ketchup), my favorite sauce. I thought this was the original restaurant, but it appears the 1st restaurant was in Phoenix. Apparently, shrimp nuggets are a thing. The shrimp used to be about 5″ long, then they cut them in half, and now they are apparently cutting the whole shrimp into 3 pieces. I know “inflation” but really come on, the people come here that have loved it for years, and this is how you thank them for their continued support. Tons of ice in the drink cup to take up space so you maybe get 8oz of soda in a 32oz cup. Fries/chips you now get a tongs pinch. Before the fish and shrimp laid on a bed of them now they surround them like a teepee fire.

Pete’s is a fantastic local, owned, local run fast food restaurant. There are only 8 locations (all in the valley). The food is always hot and cooked to perfection. I got the 4 pice fish and chip with 2 shrimp. The fish is always cooked to a beautiful crisp golden brown. Their special recipe Pete’s sauce is truly one of a kind. The shrimp was excellent and is a staple of the menu. Though some pieces do tend to have quite a lot of batter on them. They are still delicious. The drive-through is offen long after 5. It may be more efficient to order at the restaurant window than the drive up window. Definitely treat your taste buds to Pete’s.

I had got the 15 piece shrimp and chips when I took a bite one of the pieces of shrimp and felt something when I took a bite I stopped chewing and spit out a piece of shrimp shell and was disgusted this is one of the worst Pete’s shrimp and chips I’ve ever been to. And to add on they only gave us one sauce for 3 plates.

I get that it was about a half hour before it closed, so the fried burritos I ordered were delicious. However, we ordered Large fries for the both of us, and they were semi warm and stale. Have never had that issue before so that was the only thing I have to say made this experience not 5 stars.

OK fish and chips. Not the classic beer battered fish you expect with normal fish and chips. It was definitely a patty and frozen before cooking. Though for the price very fair and decent for fish in the desert.

I love Pete’s. The service was beyond accommodating, super nice. The sauce is perfect as always. The tartar sauce is great. The fried fish was great and hot and even my 2yo ate it. The hotdog was smaller than I anticipated , but that’s not a complaint, the flavor was very good. The shrimp were on the burnt side. Still edible, but closer to burnt than not.
