Tomatillo is one of those places I’ve been driving past for years on trips to New Haven and always wondered what it was like! I needed something quick but not too filling to eat before an event, so my fiancé and I stopped here. It wasn’t anything too crazy, but it served what we were looking for in the moment. The salsas were pretty yummy! The rice and steak were just okay, I think they could’ve used more flavor.

First time ordering from this place and we were unimpressed. The burritos lacked flavor and had little steak. Could not taste the cilantro or lime in the cilantro lime rice. The guacamole was actually very tasty until we found a piece of the skin (with sticker) in it. We paid over $6 for the guacamole and chips and there were barely enough chips for one person. Plenty of other great taco places in New Haven. Skip this place.

I really wanted to like this place, so much so even after getting cold food I tried them ago. That was a bad mistake. Seconf time ordering not only was my food cold again, my burrito was soggy, and was ripped straight down the middle. One pick up and plop, my burrito turned into a bowl. Not responsive on uber eats either. Many other taco joints in NH area that show better care and quality to their food.

As a person who is new to the area and came for a program, the owner was really nice, and the restaurant had great customer service. Not only was the staff respectful, the food was also great and very fresh. I would come here every day if I lived in New Haven.

Ordered for lunch via Uber eats. I like that you can create your own tacos, burritos, bowls etc. Very simple and small menu that’s easy to follow. Pretty standard tasting tacos. Good value for your money.

I had an issue with my order. When I called the woman who answered the phone talked with attitude and hung up the phone while I was talking to her. Because of the way she handled this situation, I will not order from here again. This could’ve been easily fixed.

Always order from here through Uber eats, and the food is always great. This time my quesadilla was burned, there was barely any chicken, and on top of that there was tiny pieces of plasticcccccc in my food. Tried to call them just now, and gave up after 4 times of no one answering!!! Quick update I just spoke to the manager, and she was rude!!! did not let me talk what so ever, and didn’t even offer a refund!! Last time I am ordering from here TERRIBLE customer service!!!! Attached pics below since she basically said I was lying….

So the chicken was cold and uncut. My friend and I had gone to get lunch. We ordered our food at 1130 am. We walked out of there with our food at 12 20. We walked in to pick up the food at 12 and they hadn’t even started to make the food yet. It also smelled as if someone in there was a methane factory. Neither I nor my friend will ever be going back .
