Missing my British fish and chips so when my daughter mentioned the Codfather I wanted to check it out. It’s located in the Soulfire Brewing Company inside the entrance. All food is cooked to order and the Cod just melted in your mouth. I had the traditional batter, it was so light and crisp not heavy as all like I’ve had back home. I tired the mushy peas , the spices added definitely made the, not your Mums mushy peas and I loved the kick. I would recommend ordering pickup for when you want to eat as everything is fresh and cooked to order, especially if you are in a rush.

We heard of this place and we’re excited to visit but we were not impressed in the end. Fish was tasty but small pieces and seemed more batter than fish. The fries were not very hot and seemed undercooked a bit and it took a long time to get our food. Then our fried shrimp just did not have a good taste.

I’ll start positive. The fish is good, not great but good. Batter was decent, I’d say better than most but not even a 7/10. Fries were atrocious. Not cooked correctly, not seasoned and weren’t cut like the photos. But who serves fish and chips without vinegar, ketchup, or tartar sauce none of them? What? It’s an incomplete plate to say the least and it’s basically all you make? No good. Will not order again, with dirty oil too, as a fish and chips place, I would be ashamed big time. Spend your money elsewhere as a South African who has eaten at at least 200 fish frys and can’t put them in the top 100 to date personally. I question how they remain in business

Probably the closest to my childhood memories of real fish and chips I’ve had. surprise to find it in this part of Texas. The fish was good portion and perfectly beer battered. The fries were nice and crispy, very nicely double fried. Derrick was very pleasant. The only thing I’d change is a wee bit more of those perfect french fries would of hit the spot.

There was a restaurant in the Oak Street building called Churchill’s and it had pretty fish n chips. They went out of business and I noticed this spot right across from their old spot. My only hope is that they would be close to Churchill’s in quality as it was my favorite place for fish n chips. Well, this place is better, not even a little better but they operate on another level. The tarter sauce is great and the fish is cooked to perfection. Soft buttery cod on the inside and flaky crispy batter on the outside. I think it is actually perfection. We will be back. We will be fat. It will be wonderful.

Very excellent fish n chips. Great breading, not too much, with a hint of spices around perfectly flaky fish. Served with crisply crinkle fries, malt vinegar, tartar sauce and ketchup. I will certainly be back for more.

It was so good my wife and I forgot to take pictures ☺️ We each got the Cod Sandwhich, I tried it with the spicy sauce which was a delisciously smoky kick and mixed perfectly with the housemade tartar sauce and homemade bread. Easily some of the best quality Cod you’ll find, and nice big pieces to really fill the sandwich.
