Wonderful mexican restaurant. Ambience is very nice. It is quite popular in the town thus long wait time to get into the restaurant if you want to sit inside air conditioning area. We were told to wait more than an hour if like to sit inside AC. As Friday afternoon and we were very hungry we decided to sit outside. Food was quite delicious and fantastic. As a popular restaurant price was a bit high.

This place is overrated and expensive. I can name 10 other Mexican restaurants I would rather go to. We went here for a co-worker’s birthday lunch, and that was my first and last time. They would not split our checks and made sure they included the gratuity. So one person had to pay the entire bill, and then everyone else had to zelle or cash app, which I hate. My other favorite Mexican restaurants split up the checks no matter how big the party. My Coworkers were upset when they received their small portioned tacos that cost them a lot. I would not recommend this place.

I absolutely loved the food and ambience here. I was in town for a conference and my friend recommended this spot. He said this has the best texmex he’s ever had. Man…..he was so right. I ordered the chicken fajitas and ceviche. When I tell you that food was some kind of good!!!!!

Well the food was ok. The chicken flautas was dry . The pork carnitas enchiladas were dry . And the tortilla was not cooked all the way. Witch made it even worse. This place used to be good. But I believe throughout the years that they have wandered outside the path of the quality of the food they serve. Even the rice and beans are missing something. The service was sub par. I had to ask for refill on our drinks every time. The staff would go by and even see that we needed a refill on our drink And still have to ask. The only good things was the guacamole and the queso . We didn’t even take home the leftovers.

The management is very in tune to the needs of the patrons. A dangerous gentleman (uninvited guest) made himself comfortable in the dining room being aggressive and the staff handled it like champs, management and waitstaff alike stayed calm, quiet, many diners never knew it took place. FOOD STELLAR as always and Margaritas to die for! Really The best Mexican food in Texas since Texas was in Mexico”

We went there for a friend’s birthday and it was a nice place with a lot of places inside. It was big enough but also it was crowded and it was hard to find parking so we parked in the street. The food was good, fajihas burger was truly one of the most delicious burgers I have and shrim diablo was also good but it could be spicier. The tortillas were nice and also I really liked guacamole sauce. Tacos were also good but not the best. However, the price was a bit high.

Food and drink were outstanding. Had the cactus flower margarita and the fajita burger. Our waiter was very personable and nice but just very busy so lacked a little of that extra attention. Although the restaurant was very crowded you didn’t notice, I never heard parts of another conversation.

We had dinner here last night. I had the shrimp tampico and my husband had the El Henry (burrito, tamale, and taco). Both were very good. Our server kept bringing us more fresh and warm tortilla chips. Since it was our son’s birthday, they brought him a complimentary dessert of flan. Since it was really crowded, it was difficult at times to get a server’s attention and it was really noisy. Parking was pretty easy.

What a great experience and excellent food. Everyone we met in Houston raved about this place and they were right. We had a reservation and were sat immediately. They quickly offered free chips with salsa and salsa verde. We order margaritas and guacamole and they were delicious. Entrees didn’t take long to arrive and were delicious. I had the Tejas Combo and it was a nice sampling of items. The smoked flavor on the chicken was a nice surprise. Also ordered a Mexican Mule, wow it was so good. I think I prefer it to a standard Moscow Mule. Don’t miss out on the first place to serve fajitas in America. The history, ambiance, and food make it a winner.
