Perry’s, originally located by the Newport Pier on the Balboa Peninsula, has been a family owned and operated establishment for over 45 years. In 1985, our owner, Jess Bingaman, began to use his culinary expertise to attract many customers, locals, and fans. One fan in particular was Dawn Swanson, who frequented the restaurant not only for the pizza but also for Jess’ attention. Very disappointed. Worst pizza ever, sauce had no flavor. I asked for thin crust well done, and the dough wasn’t even cooked well. I ordered a sausage peppers and onion, and was given a sausage PEPPERONI onion. The meatball sandwich was tiny and cost just under $20. 2 pizzas, 2 sandwiches, 1 antipasto salad cost $132 +. WHAT A RIP OFF. I’ll never go there again. We use to go all the time to the Newport McFadden Square location, and followed it to the new location. We hadn’t been for 2 years due to surgeries and food restrictions. What happened to this place? It was a to go order. I use to order it in for my staff. Now, never ever again.
