Last time in there they didn’t get my food right at all didn’t want to remake it. The lady that brought the food she was new and she needed help that she didn’t ask for. Why put them on the floor tell they are doing it right we was going 2 are 3 times a week… But don’t know when we will go back.

My wife and I decided to give them a try again after a year, due to several bad experiences with the food. From taste, to wrong items, to even being raw. Sadly, we tried it out again tonight, and food is just as bad. It was wrong, over cooked dry chicken and the macaroni taste tangy and noodles were not done. We have officially decided no more! We will spend our hard earned money on another restaurant. We will stick with Highway Cafe 217, which is 5 minutes from here when eating local.

I absolutely love nachos here in Hickory Pit – they’re one of my go-to dishes when I’m in the mood for something savory and satisfying. I can’t resist its crispy tortilla chips, melted cheese, and toppings. I also ordered the crawfish, and it quickly became one of my favorite seafood dishes. The tender, juicy meat has a subtle sweetness that’s perfectly balanced by the spicy seasonings and other Cajun-inspired ingredients. The unique texture of crawfish is also something I can’t get enough of – it’s soft and buttery, yet still has a bit of bite to it. I cannot wait to go back here!

Went here for my first and last time ordered the bbq nachos they was ok not the best but fine the main reason for my bad review is because of the fried crab claws how can you burn them and served them at the cost you charge i end up throwing the whole plate in the trash. 31 dollars in the garbage

Owned by the mayor, this place is poorly managed. My son worked there, and severely burnt his arm and no one let me know (he is a minor). The mayor told me he was not aware of this and to “call his lawyer”, but then refused to give me the information when I asked about his insurance for medical care. The kids in the back goof off, have no food handlers cards, no clean uniforms and no instruction. The recently failed their food safety inspection as well it is public look it up.

I am not a person who seeks out BBQ, however, stopping here was a great choice. The food was great. They have cheese curds, good tea and yummy potato salad. Our server was great. We will definitely be back. Only negative is that one server is so loud that it’s hard to read the menu as she goes on and on about life in a manner that the building next door could be involved. Outside of that deterrent, we hope to stop in on her off day next time we are in the area. Every food item we had was good and they offer more than just BBQ. There is something for everyone here.

If you’re in your car or considering BBQ, keep driving. This is some of the worst BBQ I have ever paid for, and I seldom rate restaurants below a 3. My pork seemed like it was from a plastic tub with cheap sauce already mixed in. Cornbread was dry and cold. My daughter’s ribs were inedible- likely boiled and finished on a grill someplace. My wife’s BBQ nachos were the highlight. Weird that they had beans on them. Service was poor as it took us a while to get our drinks, and we had to get our own menus. I mean, the parking lot and the dinning dining room was full, but these were clearly locals. The club sandwiches did look decent, but that is not what we were there for.
