A 4 start experience and it says it all. Food is OK but I’ve had better. The vibe is good but nothing special. Staff looked bored but that’s also ok (the weather was pretty hot too). I don’t think I’ll come back here but if you’re in the area, this stop is good for drinks. Note that it’s all outside so there’s no escape from the heat.

Nice outdoor sitting on the water, Nice covered bar area. Had the BarBacoa Tacos they were okay nothing fancy. You order at the cashier when you first walk in, pay their, they give you a buzzer so you can pickup your food from where you ordered. You have to go to bar area to get you drinks where you have to pay again for. I want there for the clam strips but it’s no longer on menu.

This place is a hidden gem with amazing views of the MCB and the Hudson. Food was excellent. Be sure to order the lobster roll, fish tacos and the wicked tuna sandwich.

I’m living in Brooklyn. Decided to visit Tarrytown. Found this place. In Dumbo (Brooklyn) one of the expensive and tourist area, lobster roll for almost same amount of price taste much better. Chicken burger is made from cheapest ( in my opinion) ingredients. If you there for food, better to find something better. For drinks this location is greatest in the town

Cute place to grab a drink and lunch or small bites right by the water. Great for a date with friends or significant other. Fish tacos were great and fish and chips were worth the price. Definitely will be back, very laid back. Felt like I was on vacation somewhere.

Outdoor food court/picnic vibe on the water. There is no wait staff. Would suggest finding a table before you order from the food counter. You get buzzed when the food is ready, then you/your party will have to carry all items, including napkins, utensils, condiments, etc. back to the table. Same with the separate bar counter, so keep that in mind if you’re ordering more than 2 drinks at a time. Menu options for this Barley ‘restaurant’, which seem to only be listed on 3rd party websites, are not accurate; noting that there are no ahi tuna dishes offered here. 1/3 of the menu items were not available for our group of 6 on a Sunday evening. Food was mediocre to good, served in disposable boxes. The counter/bar staff were pleasant and accommodated our request to turn down the blasting music. I would return here for the water views and an IPA on tap, unless there was a wait for a table, then I’d probably move on. If you’re looking for a fantastic waterfront Barley House dining experience, I would suggest Barley Beach House in Rye.

The menu is limited but good. The beer selection is large and delicious.

A nestled spot on the Hudson near the metro. Great drinks with a beautiful view of the river.

Nothing fancy here, and that’s what makes it so nice. Pick a table and relax on the water. Nice and quiet, when you’re ready for a drink head to the bar. Need a bite? Head to the food shack. No wait staff, no pressure.

This was my second time vising Barley on the Hudson. I regretfully have to write this review about my negative experience with the bar. I opened a tab and left my card with the man behind the bar. Upon ordering a second drink, I was told I had no tab open and that my card had already been returned to me. This of course, confused me and I was shown the receipt for a charge of $34.00 and someone else’s signature on it. I explained this was not me and that now someone has my card. A manager came out and voided the charge (what a heroic thing to do), and gave me a phone number to contact her. She also said that they would check cameras but I know that at this point there is nothing to do about the missing card besides have it replaced. However, now the day after, I’ve already gotten notifications from AMEX that whoever has my card attempted a charge for $98.33 at RPM RACEWAYS in Jersey City NJ. The staff and manager’s response to this situation was very ineffective and showed very little understanding of the inconvenience this causes.
