I had family here from Illinois & my nephew picked this restaurant out before he even got to Knoxville – he wanted Irish Cottage Pie – he was pleased.

Finding the entrance is part of the experience, haha. You need to enter on the first floor near the oil change place with the 1900 above the door with a really cool design in the glass. The hot pimento appetizer was very good. We had the bakers burger and fish and chips. The burger was good, very thick, and I’d recommend the bacon and cheader cheese. I will say the burger was almost a little too thick, good flavor, but it was a lot. The burger sauce that came on the side was freaking awesome, almost a mixture of a nice seeded mustard, horseradish, and mayo. This was great on the burger and a dipping sauce for the fries, but really would have loved a warm soft pretzel appetizer with it. We also tried the fish and chips which were good, but needed a little more flavor. We also tried the James and Ginger and an Old Fashion, both were decent. Over all it was good and we would try this place again, but it was a bit on the pricey side. We ate in the pub which was nice and our server was excellent.

Great food. The server and kitchen could have coordinated better as the appetizer came out at the same time as the food. Also, no offer to refill drinks. Chocolate Mouse was great.

First off. Tony was such a joy. Then the hot pimento cheese dip arrived with fresh grilled pita bread. Then the conversation was over the top great! Then the corn beef and cabbage with perfectly cooked carrots and potatoes showed up and I felt like I was transported back to my Granny’s kitchen. Best meal I have had in 15 years.

The staff was friendly and welcoming! The fish and chips were delicious. I especially enjoyed the tartar sauce served with it. Good wine and beer selection. Salmon was cooked perfectly and very flavorful.

If you’ve not visited this awesome establishment, then you are really missing out! Outstanding food, drinks, live music and service. John, the proprietor, treats you like you’re part of the family and his rapier wit is renowned.

We walked in on a Monday at 5:00pm. The bartender was very rude. She asked for my ID and went to the back for over 10 minutes to inspect it. She eventually returned with it and told me it looked “extremely fake” but I think she just wanted to refuse me service. I ordered a few drinks and she never responded when I said “thank you.” She obviously despised me and I was puzzled as to why. I decided not to order food because I was worried she would spit in it. This waitress was blonde with glasses.

HANDS DOWN the best meal we have had in ages. We traveled from middle TN to the area for our one year anniversary, and we were treated like family. The drinks were delicious… the atmosphere was authentic and intimate… and the food was STELLAR! My husband is very picky about his proteins, and he claims this is the best pork chop he’s ever had! I’m in awe. We met the owner as well, and he’s one of a kind! Don’t pass up a chance to dine at Finn’s. You’ll never be the same! Thank you John… and your team! And kudos to the chef! ❤️
