Molasses Grill is by far the best restaurant for miles and miles. The food is always spectacular and the service is great. I have been several times and am never disappointed. The calamari as a starter is a family favorite, but I also really like the fall brussel sprouts and summer tomato salad. The entrees are seasonal, fresh, unique and thoughtfully plated. They also have a nice selection of cocktails and desserts.

Loved the location. I ordered the salmon and it was amazing. The sauce was great. We also ordered the ribeye and it was great and cooked perfectly. The service was great as well. Only issue is that the place is very old and needs a renovation. Even if they went for the rustic old look, it doesn’t sit well.

What a great find! Old school vibes, great service and fantastic food! You must try the swordfish with coconut sweet potato puree, then save room for dessert and grab the molasses cookie with goat milk blueberry ice cream!

I was visiting my friend who brought me to Molasses and it is the cutest restaurant, with the best food, staff, and service! We had the grilled and baked oysters, both of which were delicious, but we both said we liked the baked better with the melted cheese and wilted greens. We also enjoyed a couple dirty martinis and the bartender even stuffed some olives with blue cheese for us. We shared the twin lobster tails, with broccolini & mac and cheese and left nothing…the whole meal was wonderful. We will definitely be back on future visits to VA – thanks to the amazing staff for such a lovely experience!

Hands down the best restaurant in Halifax And South boston. I have eaten here several times and not once had anything other then excellent food and service. Five stars isn’t enough for Molasses Grill.
