I visited Millinocket from Boston as part of my first trip to the interior of Maine; I know the coast quite well. I chose this restaurant because others where I stayed mentioned it, so I walked the quarter mile. I found a lively place with a varied group of diners, a mix of locals and travelers. I debated between the haddock sandwich and the taco salad. Feeling I needed some greens I opted for the latter. It did not disappoint. The salad was very good, an interesting blend of flavors, and the service too was very good. I highly recommend it.

The Scootic is a nice, little, hometown restaurant. The service was good and the food was hot and fresh. We enjoyed our meal at the Scootic, the blacken haddock was our favorite entree and the bacon wrapped scallops were awesome!

As an out of town hiker, I get the impression this is the place to go to. It has a lot of small-town charm friendly people and good service. And it’s just a short little walk from the two hostels slightly up the hill for us Backpackers

I wasn’t sure what to expect, because it seems to be the most happening place in Millinocket. We sat in the bar area which was clean and the noise level was medium. They didn’t have a drink menu so I asked the waitress what she would suggest for a mixed drink. It was something with pineapple, orange juice, and Malibu? She gave us a paper menu, which makes sense with covid, however nobody in the place had a mask on. I went in to the restroom and was sad when there wasn’t any soap, but the bathroom was incredibly clean. I got back to my seat and finally tried my drink which was actually quite good. We ordered sweet chili wings and calzones. They both came to the table very fast. The wings were phenomenal. Crunchy with the sweet chili sauce they rank at the top 5 on my wing list. The calzone was really good, I had the pepperoni, with mushrooms, green pepper, onion, and jalapeno. It was a good experience overall. I highly recommend those wings!

Food was really good. Wish they had more selections for food but it’s a really nice,friendly place. Definitely recommend for anyone who travels out of state to here. Absolutely love how you can customize your drinks also. Very pleased with the place and location. 100% would come back if I ever vist maine again.

From the outside it seems casual place and inside not a lot to look at as they are in middle of remodeling. But after having dinner there I was pleasantly surprised by how friendly and professional staff were. Very accommodating and welcoming to visitors. The food tasted fresh and was hot. There are also several gluten free choices which makes it nice for those who have special diets. I definitely would return here again when in the area. Good prices and nice sized portions.

Went here for the first time last Friday night, the place was busy but not packed. I had a salad and blackened chicken pasta. The food was good, but the place was very loud and the place is kind of bland. Serious lack of atmosphere, unless drunk people yelling at each other is your thing.
