We arrived at 8pm and were able to walk right in and be seated without any wait. We chose to go sit on the patio. (It is rare that the weather in the south permits this.) The service started out slow. The waitress brought us a bottle of water, but no glasses to use. We had to ask for glasses. This is a place for sitting and enjoying a long night. I ordered the filet mignon 10 oz steak with fries and a Ceasars salad. The steak was very good. But nothing set it apart from what I have eaten at places like Outback. The fries were average at best. Given the prices I would expect something that would set it apart from your average McDonald’s fries. Pretty much the same quality as McDonald’s on the fries. The salad was fresh and crisp. Presentation of everything was good as well. I’ve traveled the world and my wife is from Kaliningrad, Russia. She recently lived in Rome, Italy while getting her masters. She loved the atmosphere and said it reminded her of the nice restaurants in Italy. So 5 stars on atmosphere. Late in the evening the mosquitoes came out while we were on the patio. The patio is nice, but in the South, be prepared to battle mosquitoes when the sun starts to go down. Overall it was an enjoyable evening. Given the lack of good quality restaurants in West Tennessee, I would recommend this place. No place is perfect, so there are places where they can improve.

GREAT food! The atmosphere was vibing and the staff was very friendly. I came into town for work, sat at the bar and ordered the coffee milk stout – totally hit the spot. I then ordered the Atlantic Salmon per the bartender’s recommendation. She did not disappoint. Highly recommend for a date night or even a night cap.

Since we moved to Jackson we have eaten at Flat Iron a few times per month. My wife and I love the food and staff. I also use the establishment for business dinners and Frankie the manger(as well as their best bartender) has always been able to accommodate requests with short notice for large parties. Between her efforts and the overall quality of the service I am a loyal customer and will continue to support the restaurant. Lastly, for those of you who like to have a nicely curated cocktails or fine wine, go see Frankie as she is the finest in town for an experience.

The service and food were fantastic. I loved the warm lighting in the private meeting room, but rated four stars for atmosphere because I felt the place was way too dark initially. The hallway to the meeting room was very dark, almost to the point of being dangerous. However, when we left, the hallway was better lit. I’ve been here a few times and historically it’s been extremely dark inside. I prefer a darker atmosphere to one that is way too bright, but the initial darkness before they decided to turn up the lights a bit could present a safety issue for some.

The best steak in Jackson! We use to drive to Memphis to eat steak at Ruth’s Chris but after eating here we can save our gas money. The wait sometimes can be long but it’s worth it! And get the crab cakes for appetizer, amazing!

We arrived at the restaurant at 6:50, order our drinks and dinner. Nothing complicated, a salad an d chicken finger platter. 40 minutes later we got a second round of drinks, still no food. After an hour and 20 minutes we had to leave. All they said was sorry we had a big table order before you. I could understand that but two tables that came in after us already had their food. No compensation for the drinks or the time wasted in this establishment. We will never be back!
