This was my second time eating here, the first time I ordered the fried catfish dinner and it was good. This time I ordered the fried whiting dinner with 2 sides. The fish was big and you get 2 pieces just like with the catfish dinner, but the whiting had way too much bread for me and some of the batter was still wet. Also, the fish itself looked and tasted like it wasn’t fully cooked either. It was pink and mushy in some places. The Mac n cheese and yams were good. I will stick with the catfish from now on but if you order the whiting I would tell them lightly breaded and fried hard.

I’ve been here a couple times after swinging by on work trips. It’s as real as it gets in terms of soul food— the genuine ambiance, southern hospitality from the front lady, and the homestyle quality of all the food. Highly recommend the fried chicken, oxtail, and sweet tea. Very reasonable prices too. Definitely made it onto my list of local staple spots.

It’s just a hole in the wall dining counter. The service was quick and friendly. The food was too salty for me. I eat more fresh vegetables so the side plate I got was really salty. The cornbread was good though. I think other people may like it but it wasn’t my preference.

This was my 1st time in this restaurant and I loved it.. I’ve found me a new kitchen to eat from‼️‼️ I had the catfish dinner thst was cooked to order so it was hot and delicious. I had cabbage, cornbread, mac n cheese and candied yams on my plate. It was only 15$ and I couldn’t believe the price…I would have paid 20$+ for that meal. I will ne back.
