I moves to Charlotte from NY 30 years ago and worked Uptown when there was only 1 high rise building and a lot of trees and woods. This place has been a staple in the Uptown area since then. Atmosphere was definitely Louisiana influenced, however, with the advertising of “cajun influenced” I walked in hoping for gumbo, étouffée, and beignets but was disappointed in that aspect.
