From someone who lives on the east coast I was excited to drive up the Pacific Coast Highway. And what better way to enjoy that drive than with some fantastic seafood in a relaxed vibe. It might not have direct ocean views, but eating on the picnic tables outside under the shade with the freshest of seafood options was worth it. It was my first time trying live sea urchin and is definitely worth a try. The lobster in the roll was cooked perfectly and enhanced with simple drawn butter, rather than soaked in mayo like most lobster rolls. Made me wish I chose their whole lobster special at the counter when ordering.

I returned a second time to try the Famous Lobster roll, which cost $40 since I added the Uni $14 extra for two small slides. It was good but did not stand out, I would say 7.5/10, but it was a decent amount of lobster!

Amazing lobster roll, Old Bay potato chips and French fries. Absolutely delicious! However, the price was steep and the wait for a table – and for the bathroom (how can they only have two for such a big place?!) was a downer. There are only picnic tables and I had to hover over people who looked like they were about to finish to score a table – all while waiting for my buzzer to go off indicating that our food was ready. It made things stressful. But I will say that once the food arrived it was totally worth it.

The food is great, very fresh, quite tasty. Very pricey (5 shrimp “shrimp cocktail” is $25). The place is entirely self-service – get in line to place an order, pick it up when it’s ready, no frills.

An absolute vibe. Must stop in Malibu with delicious food that tastes like it’s priced. Full review below.

After I ran the Run Malibu 5K I had to check out Broad Street Oyster. This place is definitely worth the hype. Being a big fan of lobster rolls, I had to check this place out. My friends and I ordered a bunch of different things to try. It’s on the pricier side but it’s expected for lobster and seafood. So if you’re ever in the area don’t miss out on the opportunity to try this place out.

The food was so good, I ordered the original lobster roll chilled in Mayo. The bun was perfectly toasted. Although I wish I had got the warm with butter roll like my sisters. The fries were mid. My biggest concern was the amount of single use plastic I saw being thrown away even if you are dining in, everything is packaged in to go containers. A little concerning considering Malibu had a ban on single use plastics. Surely they could invest in reusable dish wear to stop the trash.

Lovely place and very friendly staff. The food isn’t as what I have expected for a place that I always hear about. The fish tacos lack a bit of flavor and I was expecting a lot more from the fish. Other than that, the clam chowder is good though. A bit on the pricier side. The restroom takes forever and there is always a line. A great stop in Malibu and great music!

The food is a bit pricey and small portioned, but it’s good! I kept seeing the ad on my IG and had to try. I stopped in during the week around 3 pm and called in my order beforehand. Glad I did, I didn’t realize how long it would take to be ready (about 45 mins). I ordered the warm lobster roll with butter and the clam chowder. Both were delicious!! The guy at the register was super friendly and made good conversation while I waited for my food. It’s not somewhere I’d go all the time, but definitely anytime I’m craving seafood in Malibu!
