We eat here fairly often, it’s 50 miles round trip for us….But the grilled shrimp normally make the drive well worthwhile. Yesterday we had our normal grilled shrimp & had 2 issues, the grill (griddle) was not scraped well and the shrimp had a excess of char on them. The shrimp was over cooked and rubbery. I will be back, and recommend this place.

My family and I ate here today and honestly we weren’t too impressed. We thought it would have been better. The drinks are can drinks and the tea tasted like dirty faucet water. We seated ourselves and it took forever for a waitress to even approach us. The lighting inside was real dark and not so inviting. We ordered a variety of gumbo, fried shrimp, grilled shrimp, fried alligator and then spicy and mild crawfish. All if the food tasted pretty good except the crawfish. The crawfish was horrible. It was as if they didn’t have any flavor at all but had Cajun spiced seasoning sprinkled on top of them. Overall it’s an okay place for anything except crawfish.

Love this place. Come here fairly regularly. Good catfish. Good shrimp. The specials are hard to beat anywhere. They even seem to make the tartar and remoulade in house. Only thing I can I even think of critiquing is that the sauces aren’t quite as fully flavored as I prefer them personally. All things considered a pretty minor issue. We typically return two or three times a month.

Santos is great. Staff is friendly & food is good. It is a very small establishment located behind El Burrito in Cleveland. They even sell raw fish that looks nice & fresh. Their raw fresh seafood. Even octopus, alligator,, crawfish,, etc. It is cheaper than buying it at krogers & it looks better too.

We’ve been to Cleveland twice for a total of 4 evenings. Three of those four evenings we ate dinner at Santos. After the first dinner we were hooked…lol. We LOVE the shrimp, potato salad and Cole slaw. We are originally from Florida. We have had a lot of shrimp and have never had them as well prepared as they were at Santos. The Red potatoes are always cooked to perfection. The corn on the cob is good, but that’s not what we go for.
