Quick and easy Japanese food at Mission Viejo mall. Enjoyed the chicken and rice bowl and the mall had plenty of seating with nice clean tables and a good family vibe. The employee were nice and quick in serving the meal and pricing was not expensive. Overall good experience and very convenient if you want a quick meal in between shopping.

The only reason they have one star from me is because it’s required. Sarku stood out. Moving from Ga I thought I found a touch of home, 2,000 miles away. I did BUT this one is different. Not the gem you thought you’d want to find. They have horrible customer service, women & men, no matter what age. I work at the mall and I never had to write a review for a food establishment until today. I’ve had plenty of interactions to know better between someone having a bad day and plain out horrible customer service. Time after time. You try to ask a question anbout your food and you get ignored!!! By the person making your food?! NEVER AGAIN until I get back home!!!

The Mexican lady cashier must either hate her job or actively trying to hurt the owners sales. I’ve been coming here for years. Since i work down the street. Always order the same exact thing. This time around. After ordering a beef teriyaki which the picture shows all noodles no rice with beef and veggies. I get my food and it’s only rice. She tries to tell me that noodles are extra. I’m like I literally pointed to the picture and told you that’s what I wanted. Then says no the picture is not accurate we need to charge you extra. I just asked for a refund instead.

This place is always inconsistent on the amount of chicken they give. I told the cook that the chicken was less than usual and he just ignored me. Their customer service is terrible. I’m going to think twice before I come here again.

Lousy food, lousy people. Halloween evening, the place is empty, 4 or 5 of the most unpleasant, unhappy servers I’ve ever come across were just standing there, doing absolutely nothing and, yet, could not crack a smile or be pleasant to a senior lady, the only customer there. When I ordered a Bento box (order 252) and asked for ginger and wasabi, one of the waiters was quite sarcastic and acted like he was doing me a favor. The woman at the cash register sure would look prettier and less dumb looking if she had a smile on her face. The quality of the food left a lot to be desired. Would I eat here again? Of course not!

Ordered the chicken and fried rice. Within 30 seconds they called my number and handed me a box of teriyaki chicken and white rice. I told him I ordered fried rice and not white rice. He showed me the receipt and said “no it says white rice.” I understand that they don’t care but at least pretend. They didn’t try to help they just stared at me like I was stupid waiting for me to leave. I left the rest of my order and went somewhere else. Even the coke was flat.
