Had not been to Tastey’s in about 1 1/2 years, always enjoyed the oxtails, but took a break because it was becoming too pricey, $18 for a dinner. Had a taste for oxtails yesterday, called in my order, my bad for not checking price, got there and was told my oxtails dinner was $30. I was stunned, food is good, but not $30 good for a dinner with 2 sides. And as usual, take out container was weak, got home, gravy spilled out into the bag, which leaked out of the bag as I tried to remove the dinner, just messy. Doubt I’ll be going back.

One of the best southern food I’ve had in North Jersey. Had the ox tail and it’s literally falling off the bone. The yams are seasoned to perfection. Highly recommend this place. Great job Gail !

Sooo the cashier was rude ..she threw my receipt at me..why I don’t know ..The food..I got turkey wings mac n cheese collard n cabbage and potato salad..Mac n cheese was ok…cornbread was warm but had a flour taste like it was dusted with flour…collards n cabbage had No seasoning on them…the turkey wings was nice n brown well done .. the potato salad was good i ate the whole thing and wanted more…but…I can tell they didn’t wash the wings in lemon juice or vinegar so it had a taste to it…I want to say my Aunts love this place ..I would go back for the potato salad…Aunty wants me to try something else..I will give it another try in the future…

We ordered from Tastey’s via DoorDash on 1/31/21 and it was great! The portions were very generous. The potato salad in particular was amazing but it was all very good. Would definitely recommend!

This is the worst soul food I’ve ever tasted! The worst attitude from a foreign restaurant! The Turkey wings were burnt and salty! N potato salad shouldn’t be YELLOW! Potatoes are WHITE ! And it tasted like MUSTARD! I would never go back there !! Stick to CARIBBEAN FOOD BECAUSE THERE IS NO WAY YOU EVER LIVED IN THE SOUTH!!! Imposters!!!! Fake!!! Fraud!!!!
