Look, I’m not trying to dig on anyone. It seems like a Texas tradition to supply locals with bland versions of various multinational cuisines. The food here isn’t bad by any stretch. It was a little bit expensive for what it is. The problem is that it was so bland. I think the further east or west you go in the USA the more flavorful your Hunan, or Sczechwan or whatever Chinese you prefer for takeout, is going to be. I wish that were different. It’s surprising given how flavorful Texas BBQ is. You’d think the local flavor would be pining for something spicier with a kick to it. Especially with our proximity to Cajun country. But alas, here we are.
