What a great place! We’ve been coming here on our annual vacation since they opened. It’s always a memorable evening. The food is excellent (probably the best in the area) and the outdoor area amazing to just sit and have a drink.

Rustic place that is eat-in or dine outside restaurant. A little wait but, it is that time of year. Had the parmesan fries to start. The salad and main entree were good. Enjoyed the drinks. Liked the old pane windows and retro decor. Will try to dine outside next time. Waitress very attentive and friendly.

My fiancé and I visited Bitter End on Sunday for Lunch. Everything was excellent, however, the portions for the main courses were small. I got the seafood stew – a handful of clams, small (very small) portion of fish, and only 2 shrimp. It was slightly underwhelming in size – although very good. My Spring Buzz drink was good….but pricey – $14. The atmosphere was nice – the owner was super sweet and I let her know everything was fantastic. If we’re in the area again, and the outside is open, we will be back. (I hope the portions get bigger – when you think of a seafood stew – you don’t expect very little seafood or very small portion.) Spent $130 total including a $25 tip.

Great outdoor and indoor dining atmosphere to sit with family and friends. I sat outdoors as the weather was perfect so cannot comment on being inside. Outside they have tables and a very nice bar that you can hang out for drinks if interested. The food was amazing and I ordered the Clam strips with a side of fries which were cooked perfectly. The staff was great and very professional with very little wait for anything you might need. I would recommend calling ahead as Im sure it could get extremely busy during certain times. Luckily if you do have to wait for an outdoor table they have a sitting area with chairs outside where you could relax and await to be seated. I would recommend the Bitter End to anyone I know and personally return here any chance I get. Not one complaint and nothing but great employees, food and drink options.

Bitter End was a pleasant surprise!! My husband and I live locally and wanted to sit outside for dinner, away from the congested areas of Wells. He likes seafood, I do not. The outside seating was comfortable and fun. We ordered chicken tequitos to start and they were super flavorful and fresh. The service was fast and very friendly. He ordered a seafood dish that he loved and I ordered a pulled pork sandwich with fries and coleslaw which was delicious.

the guy bartender was making drinks when I sat down, so he said he would be right with me. Off he went to deliver the drinks but stopped to talk to two women at the end of the bar, put the drinks on a tray, picked up hand sanitizer and used it. Continued to talk. Picked up the drinks to deliver to a table. Finally a woman came over and asked what I wanted. The guy bartenders walked by me 10 times more and never said another word. I was clearly being ignored. I did eat my whole well done burger that was overcooked and shame on me for not telling them.

We have driven by Bitter End many times and it always looked busy so we decided to stop in and try it out. We were not disappointed.

Great place. Outdoor and indoor seating. With firepit, rustic outdoor barn-like bar, funky nostalgic decor, cool lighting and usually music on Fri. & Sat. nights. Service is usually on point. Drinks and food were tasty. This is our 11th time here, so that alone says something. Overall a very good experience. UPDATE: Added pictures from our subsequent visits.
