At our Chesapeake, VA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Well I’m officially done with this place. This was my second time getting bad food from here. Girl at front register taking my order was polite and very professional , it was the manger that had a very nasty attitude for some reason when she came up to ring me up. Then she returned back to the kitchen and made my order. She under cooked the fish it was cold and soggy, then she burnt my stuffed crabs they were hard and dark brown. I think she did it on purpose because she had to come up and ring my order up. Got dirty looks and sucking and sying. Never going to this Captain D’s ever hell I just done with it

I couldn’t wait for my order. I’ve eaten here before and the food wS delicious This time the fish wasn’t done, barely warm and limp. The fries apparently had been sitting around and were like warm as well. I decided to park and take it I side and have the order replaced. Once inside, the young lady who took my order was very courteous. The cook was yelling, cussing and screaming at someone, talking bout, ” How the F%#$ do I know, I’m at work. Don’t call me asking me…!” But he recorded the same food. Now, it’s so hard I can’t even bite it! I give up!

The lady is in this store working the closing shifts were awesome!! Even though I came in about 30 minutes before closing they were very cordial the food was fresh and they didn’t act like I was an inconvenience to them like I have been treated at several other restaurants in the area upon arriving at this time. Came here on Monday night at 8:50 and when I pulled up there was one car in the parking lot and I could tell that the inside was closed. Drive thru was lit up so I was cool with that. Well I pulled up to nothing. No greeting and no one ever took my order. Checked online they close at 10. I even tried calling but no answer. There was one person walking around cleaning with no headset on. After circling twice I was totally ignored. I even called inside to be ignored again. This is crazy.

The young woman working drive thru was very busy, but friendly. Every time I have gone there no matter how busy they are a customer focused group. The food is great really liked the fried green tomatoes.

I ordered a Big Fish Combo at the drive-thru. I love this fish sandwich because you receive 2 fish fillets on the sandwich, which are deep fried to perfection! The French fries were tasty and the half sweet/half unsweetened tea really hit the spot!.
