So me and 2ic were passing through. And we heard bout blackcharlotte food week. Amd the sea hut was one of the restaurants mentioned . So I decided to make a detour and head on over. It seemed like it could have been located near the hood. Not sure but that is always a good sign for good food. We went inside. It was neat and clean. Nothing fancy. But nice. I think the owner knew we were new or first timers and she jumped in to help. Gave a awesome break fown of the menu. Which helped out quite alot. We then made out order. And because of eating here. I will never ask for Arnold Palmers again. Only uptowns!!! And the uptown there were amazing. The food came out. And I was thoroughly impressed. 2ic was also and she is not easily pleased when it comes to food. But on top of the food the service was amazing. They people were very friendly. It felt like we were eating at our aunt and uncle house.. everything we had was good. I definitely recommend the seahut.

This place just opened. It is Black Owned so please come and support. Awesome customer service. Eat in or carry out. This was our first visit. I ordered the clams and oyster platter that comes with 2 sides I got the hush puppies and fries. My wife got the whiting and basa with veggies and spicey cole slaw. My daughter got the whiting, onion rings, and fries. The clams was ok, the hush puppies were ok, but not sweet enough, they are much better with some honey, and the fries were ok. This is the best seafood spot in Charlotte period. It’s very rare Charlotte gets good quality cuisine like this. Very clean on the inside and great customer service. This place makes captain Steve’s or Mayflower look terrible. Many selections of different fish to choose from which I like. I tried the black bass with shrimp and they aren’t stingy with the portions. I ate it and slept for about 3 hours. This is a must try and a hidden Charlotte Gem.

So VERY good and so VERY fresh. I am a very picky lover of fresh seafood and this is the best I’ve EVER had! Fried with a light touch with grilled choices, you can’t go wrong. I’m still dreaming about yesterday’s dinner there. If you love great seafood, you won’t find better. In addition, prices are very reasonable and the owners are VERY lovely. 10 stars without hesitation!

I had the Boneless Fish Plate and Salmon Burger. The salmon patty was obviously frozen store-bought so I don’t recommend it. But the boneless fried fish was crispy on the outside with the skin on, delicate and flavorful on the inside. The fried okra is the best I’ve had so far, hush puppies are good too.

We typically don’t eat meat at all. This particular night we both had a taste for fish! We searched instagram to see the new and trending places around the city. Sea Hut had great reviews, so we headed over. Best choice ever! The customer service was amazing and the food was fresh, hot and yummy . The fried okra was so good!! I would go back for that alone. The area is a little “sketchy” so go earlier rather than at night.

Everything was delicious except the peach cobbler. Frog legs were delicious and tender. The croaker fish was very crispy on the outside and juicy on the outside and seasoned to perfection! The greens, yams, and mac and cheese were good also. The hush puppies were tasty and in the shape of onion rings. Crunchy outside soft delicious inside. The oysters and shrimp were seasoned well and very scrumptious!!!!! I can’t wait to go back again!!!
