Great little place! The food was amazing! We were recommended to have the bread sticks and so glad we ordered them! But it’s a nice quiet place to sit and have a great home cooked meal. The service was excellent too, the staff was efficient and very friendly.

Waited 10 mins for someone to come wipe down our table from a previous customer, ordered 2 burgers. After waiting another 35 minutes went to the counter letting them know I had to leave in 15 minutes. They went to check on my order and told me the cooks had “just put our burgers on the grill”. Wait…what? I had to leave. Do not recommend this place unless you have unlimited time, aren’t hungry and don’t mind sitting around. Used to be a great spot but I understand they have new owners (driving the place into the ground quickly). Very sad for our community.

family favorite for year. Hoping two new young owners stick with the good favorites don’t mess with salad dressing OIL AND VINEGAR , BREAD STICKS USE LAST OWNERS CREAM CHEESE MIX AND THE SAUCE. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. We come 50 miles just for that great taste

I’ve been going to John’s for about 20 years. Excellent food. I’ve never had a bad meal. Having worked there for several years, I tell people all the time that John’s was the cleanest restaurant I worked in by far! Everything is fresh and most everything is homemade and cooked to order. The breadsticks may take a few extra minutes, but you know they haven’t been sitting in a warmer all day. One of my favorite places to eat-hands down.

Great local spot for pizza, salad, soups! They are famous for homemade breadsticks and dressings! Great service! Never a bad meal! Low key place to enjoy a local brew from founders.

Been going there for years. It’s one of the greatest unknown places in Michigan. Wonderful pizza and the open face steak sandwich is great. The dinner salid with their own Italian dressing is the best around.

Ravioli was alright. Sausage was amazing! Italian chicken sandwich was so so. The Italian sauce (spaghetti/pasta sauce) is ok. Service was slow at times. Kitchen basically had to make everything when ordered (I was there for lunch, week day), so it took 15-20 minutes to get food.

Steak was a quality cut cooked as I requested. Since it was a call in I interacted with a very pleasant counter person who got my order right. Food excellent, personable staff, reasonsble prices – what more could you ask for?
