2 years ago I ate here and had a great experience. However today I ordered delivery. Not only did it take a while to come, but the service was terrible. One of the beef teriyakis I ordered spilled all over the bag due to being poorly packed. This restaurant is only 9 minutes from where I am, and the food was very cold, which shouldn’t be the case. I called to say my situation and the lady on the phone, which may be the owner, was very unprofessional.

Went here during the crazy Cape May summer season, couldn’t find a place to eat on the island and called Yozu at 6:00 for a 6:30 reservation for six. They were able to accommodate us, meal was great, the service and chef were amazing. My kids said best hibachi chef ever. Involved the whole table, everyone from ages 10-80 were laughing, food was great. Chef Gary was so entertaining, and recommend for a fun night in Cape May for the entire family.

Service was nice, the atmosphere was nice, but if you are looking for good sushi , this is not the place. Mostly cooked rolls and some shredded fish compote in two of our dishes that ai have never seen at a sushi restaurant. People who like Americanized Japaneseish food will love it.

I had a good experience the last 2 times I went there….but I ordered take out today and it was bad. The platter looks nice, but it has a very strange taste. Even the yum yum sauce has a sour, vinager taste to it. And the salad was dead. Thats the only way I can explain it. I have NEVER said I dislike a hibachi place. Yes, maybe I prefer a one over the other, but I actually didnt like this to the point I only had 3 bites. Hibachi food is expensive take out but usually worth it. Maybe its a new chef or maybe just a bad day, but not happy about it.

Yozu is a Japanese restaurant providing very good Asian cuisine . We had takeout which was very good but it looses something. Special made-to-order cuisine must be eaten in the restaurant. Would recommend dining in. We had Beef Negimaki, Chickenyaki Spicy Girl Roll. Everything was delicious but lost a star because it lost something when taking out. The food steams in the containers.

Waited literally 1.5 hours for our food to get prepared. Then they put a group of 15 people across from us and they were very loud . The server was rude and didnt speak English. The food was good once it was finally finished but I will never return ever again. We went for my son’s 14th birthday and we were disappointed with the service. We will go back to our regular place next time.
