Went for 1st time today. Hidden gem. Mini diner by my NY perspective. Perfect portions size. I had a grilled chicken sandwich with their homemade coleslaw and it was great. Hubby had a burger and fries and loved that too. Can’t wait to go back.

I enjoy the homemade food. Staff is friendly very courteous and professional. Have been going to the princess and country grille for many years now. I have never been disappointed yet. Once we’re done eating we walk around the farmer’s market and enjoy local artists and their wares. Highly recommend that you try the princess and country grill at least once.

8/4/23; went there for breakfast/lunch and was greeted immediately, but that wasn’t my issue at the moment. my issue was my food, i got the “big county” and my pancakes were extremely undercooked; i was cutting them and it slid apart. my bacon was like biting into charcoal. there was a family who left because the restaurant was too cold so the lovely staff immediately talked negatively about them when they left. if you’re a restaurant that specializes in breakfast/lunch, at least cook the food correctly.

The Princess Anne County Grill is located inside the Virginia Beach Farmer’s Market. They are located on the western side of the Farmer’s Market and is across from the Farmer’s Market office. There is ample parking available, including additional parking behind the buildings. My visit here was for lunch on July 25, 2021.

I had family from Tennessee in town and we were super excited to try this place after shopping at the Farmers Market. It was 1:25pm when we walked in knowing they stayed open until 3pm per their website. As soon as we walked in the staff was overheard saying; ok who’s going to take this one? Then the cashier rudely said, we close at 2pm. We were like, ok, very shocked by the rudeness of the staff. Unsure why the website said 3pm, we thought at least we had 35 mins and will only order something small but tip large. But that wasn’t the case as the rude cashier just kept saying we close at 2pm. So we left and will never return, nor will I refer this place to anyone else. Never experienced such rudeness.

A nice hole in the wall diner. The staff are friendly. You can tell how friendly they are by looking at their interactions with regular customers (Joking and jiving). The pungo Burger, was one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long while. Another nice thing about the location you can imagine that they gather all their ingredients from the other shopkeepers. The theme of the location fits the rest of the farmers market.
