Not bad. The medium hot Cajun shrimp and steamed rice with boiled potatoes, corn and sausage was decently flavored and priced at a lower than normal cost. Service was excellent and attentive too. I’ll have to go back and try their fried shrimp next time.

The “lunchbox” special is a great deal–$14.99 –for a huge pan of seafood, sausage, corn cob and potato. The House Blend spices at medium spicy was relatively mild and delicious. Fabio, the proprietor, is super friendly and attentive. Plenty of tables, never a wait to get seated. Great place.

At first I was unsure about a “Cajun Crab Shack” , southern style crab with a bit of a Mexican twist . My daughter had the crab legs, I had the carne asada street tacos and my wife the fajitas . We were all happily surprised . The food was spicy when we wanted it spicy and traditional when we asked for it . I would recommend giving this place a try . The service was very good .

I went for the first time. LOVED IT. I’m a foodie and I hadn’t even thought about writing a review when I took photos of some of the food we got.The Crab Shack House Mix Sauce is DELICIOUS. EXCELLENT service. Our server’s name is Jonathan. He and his assistant (I never got his name) was very nice. I came with a big group. Jonathan double- checked with us to make sure he split our check correctly before running it. Everyone LOVED their food, even the kids. I’m glad I found a little seafood gem. I’m saving up to go again.

The food was great and plentiful and large portions. Pricing was good overall. The staff that waited on us was what has me rating this less than wonderful. Not very friendly and hardly smiled.

This place was incredible the service was above & beyond. The waiter went & washed his hands so he could show me how to shell a crawfish correctly!!! The food was delicious & just beautiful. We got the combo, ceviche mixed tostada & mimosas!! The mimosas were off the chain High Recommend

Prices in store are significantly more than their online menu. Just walked out after being handed a menu… this place is gonna go out of business for sure. Nobody was even in the joint. I’m sure the foods good unless they’re as stingy with their refrigeration on their fish as they are on prices. Don’t really trust greedy people handling my seafood. Hard pass on this place

HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT! There was a wait, but it wasn’t too long. The food, however, was such a disappointment. They gave me cold corn. Like ice cold. It was not edible. Their service wasn’t great and they took forever to bring out the food, or come check up on us.

Basically an average Mexican restaurant that sells frozen seafood.

Met with a friend for lunch today, and we tried Cajun Crab Shack in Thousand Oaks off of E Avenida De Los Arboles. I have a fondness for Cajun food, particularly for the style I call “Cajun boil” where all of your food is cooked at the same time so everything takes on a really rich depth of flavor. The best part, is it’s generally eaten by hand, without utensils. Cajun Crab Shack delivered with delicious, flavorful seafood that was well cooked, seasoned, and reasonably priced. It’s location in Thousand Oaks makes it an ideal spot for families looking for a new kind of place for a dinner out, and business types looking for a lunch spot that’s a bit of a break from the local sandwich, burger, or salad spot. Though I do recommend you avoid it if you’ve got important face-to-face meetings immediately after ;). It gets messy, but that’s part of the fun. In the end it is tasty, well prepared seafood, at a good price, with friendly service. I highly recommend trying it, and if you like it, recommend it to your friends.
