Despositos has finally reopened, & how amazing of a restaurant. The interior design is beautiful, with a fabulous outside bar and dining area.

10/10 in every aspect. We went with a party of 8 at 7pm on one of their first days – and everything was * perfect *. Live music and a view from our outdoor table

Definitely a dive-y bar type vibe, but for what it is my husband and I really enjoyed it. Super simple menu, shrimp, crab legs, a low country boil platter with potstoes, sausage and corn, and a few sides to choose from. For people not looking for seafood they also had chili, grilled cheese, and hot dogs.

Had an amazing time here. Food is beyond spectacular. David makes the simple boiled seafood into something divine.

Best boiled shrimp in town. So tasty, you do not need shrimp sauce. But they do have good shrimp sauce for a change of pace. It’s an intimate small place where the owners have kept it open because they like making great food and pouring cold beer. The menu is simple, but everything on the menu is prepared to perfection. They do not dye the key lime pie…its off white, like it should be. And it tastes great… kind of hard to find, if you don’t use the boat ramp… it is definitely worth the hunt.

A no frills hole in the wall seafood place just like you used to see in the movies. Probably the freshest, tastiest boiled shrimp you’ll ever eat– I asked the proprietor how he seasons them, and he said he doesn’t– that’s your job! They taste so good, he said, because they’re fresh caught that day. Service was fast and friendly when we were there, but they weren’t busy then, either. If I lived in Savannah, I would be here all the time.

Meh… Prolly not a bad place to drink lite beer and eat boiled shrimp. Wife and I had the deviled crab which seemed to be mostly bread crumbs. They had good flavor though. The place has some nice dive bar charm and a pretty solid view. There wasn’t anything wrong just wasn’t spectacular.

This is a small place off the river, there was only one wait staff that had to take care of all the customers drink amd food orders; as well as sit and take payments. I like the small town feel but they were out of several foods. They’re outage made our experience limited, but our food was good.

this is a quaint seafood place at the marina. We used GPS to find it and because it was high tide, actually drove through some water before reaching it. They had a dart board on one side which cought my attention but there was clearly a league playing so we kept our focus on the food. The tables were all covered in newspapers to collect the random shells from crab and shrimp. I was sort of glad that they had them on the table because my hubby and I busied ourselves with a crossword while waiting for our food to arrive. The food was a bit pricey and lacked the seasonings that I am used to seeing on a low country boil. Still, the shrimp and crab were cooked properly and I am glad to have visited this place at least for the rich culture it contains within its walls.

Just a word of warning to check your bill at Desposito’s. Our bill should have been $50.82 and they had our total as $69. The way the server acted made me suspicious that it is a common practice to overcharge hoping the customer’s aren’t paying attention. Also way overpriced. It was $22 for 2 clusters of snow crab legs and you don’t get any sides with it. They could at least throw in some potatoes or corn for that price. The Low Country Boil for $19.50 was ok. The price is comparable to other places but they are stingy with the sausage. Definitely won’t be back.
