We had the meat plates with sides all the food was very good. The people were really nice and took care of all our needs thanks. If you have the chance to dine there go.I drove 70 miles one way just for the food.

Definitely some of the best barbecue I’ve tasted The best sweet tea. Reminded me of my grandpa’s sun tea. Loved the potato salad and buttermilk pie So glad I watched the High on the Hog Netflix show and discovered this place. Staff is super welcoming and truly care about their barbecue. Ribs were yummy and still the cook felt they weren’t his best that day

I have been going here since I was a kid. I am sure there are better places, but to help a church, and get some amazing BBQ… You just can’t beat it… The story is enough to bring people in the door. A must try if you are hungry driving to Houston.

THE BEST Brisket I have had so far! Price was great, food was plentiful and delicious! This is by far a new “go to BBQ” spot we will frequent. So worth the 40+ mile drive!!!

Lots of food for the price… too bad it’s not good. The brisket lacked seasoning and smoke. The ribs were pretty flavorless. The sauce attempts to camouflage the lack of time or wood.

Amazing little place in Huntsville. I stopped by on my way back from a men’s retreat and might I saw, was I in for a treat! The barbecue was phenomenal and the prices seemed too cheap to be true! Next time I’m in the area I’ll make sure I don’t eat because they offer all you can eat for only ~ $20!!!

This barbecue shack has very decent barbecue, other than the brisket being a little bit wet and bland having to be carried by the barbecue sauce. The ribs are great, the sides are great, the people are great, but when I went up there today I ordered a half pound of brisket, when I got the order it seemed kind of light but what am I to question the cooks. I went home and measured the half pound of brisket and it wasn’t but just over 4 oz. My general experience with most barbecue places has been oversized portions being that the meat is cooked in large batches but being that both my ribs and brisket were undersized portions that was kind of disappointing.

If the lady that started this place knew what we experienced today she probably would turnover in her grave. After driving almost 2 hours to try this place after seeing them on Houston news I thought it would be worth the drive. We arrived around noon and the brisket was still being warmed up , was out of ribs and the cook told me they were on the way so you know the ribs wasn’t PIT cooked . I should’ve known from the pictures of people that I seen what the food would taste like . ( CROCK POTS EVERYWHERE )

I typically get ribs. They have always been tasty. The brisket is decent. The beans and potato salad are good, but not great. I do like the setting where strangers can sit side by side and strike up a conversation. They give you bread to help as a utensil. I recommend giving it a try.
