Cute little cafe in the historic Amis Mills grounds. The food was amazing! Eat lunch outside and have a view of the damn/waterfall. It’s summer so the waterfall is low but the views are still really pretty. I highly recommend the Brussels Sprouts. Yum!

We ended up on a foodie adventure today! This time we took off to Rogersville Tennessee, and ended up at a place called Amis Mill Eatery. The food was soooo delicious, the staff was awesome, and the atmosphere was perfect! It is definitely off the beaten path, and a nice drive, plus they have a waterfall right across the road below! Located on a very important early colonial homestead for the area. The Thomas Amis Historic Site (c.1780) and Amis Mill Eatery are a destination in themselves. Home of the oldest stone dam in Tennessee, this property was constructed by Thomas Amis in 1780. Capt Amis hosted many famous figures including John Sevier, James Robertson, Andrew Jackson, Daniel Boone, Bishop Francis Asbury, Andre Michaux, and numerous revolutionary heros.

We wanted to try a new place so we drove about 30 minutes to get here and it was absolutely worth it. Everything we ate was delicious. We sat on the patio, it was raining and absolutely beautiful. The sound of the rain and the creek flowing right by the patio was just top notch. The service was great also. The waitress had her hands full but she didn’t miss a thing. We will definitely be back.

Went on 1.21.23. We are Natural born Foodies from New Orleans, Live in E. TN for 20yrs. Love to find interesting places to try. We were greeted, seated, menus & drink order were timely. We ordered the crab cake appetizer. Ordered the special of the day (Panko Crusted Pork Chops with A Blueberry Sauce & Side) & 1 side salad . ALL were brought out timely, servicer & Service were fine. HOWEVER, the Special was 24.00 per person, plus the appetizer, salad & drinks totaled 75.00. Hubby & I had the same meal & shared the appetizer. The food tasted good, the presentation was fine. UNFORTUNATELY, both myself & Husband had stomach /Intestional issues that night. We don’t mind paying for a pricey meal, IF…… the service & food are on point. And it was, HOWEVER…. We managed to experience food poisoning.

Nice scenery on outside deck. Ribs and Brussels sprouts were good but downhill from there. Crab cakes were greasy and hardly any crab meat or sauce on top to help with the dry insides. Salmon was overcooked and dry and served on a bed of pasta drenched in olive oil with a few capers and mushrooms. Mixed vegetables seemed to be cooked in a lot of oil. Blackberry cobbler was a disgrace for $7. Definitely wasn’t like any cobbler you’d find amongst recipes for the same.

Outstanding food! We had a party of four and got , sirloin steak, lasagna, smothered chicken, and smoked chicken! Also the bbq sauce was different but very tasty! Sides, rice, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, okra. Outstanding! Our waitress was wonderful and very efficient! Dessert was bread pudding! Fabulous dessert. We had a great view of the waterfalls! Loved this place!
