I was so excited to try this Chicago staple! Fried mushrooms were an excellent appetizer, and the pizza was light, flavorful, and delicious! That being said, the pizza wasn’t as hot as it should have been; and the service was friendly, but a bit slow given the fact we were one of two tables in the restaurant.

Ordered the Deep Dish Pizza. We usually go to other Beggars restaurants. Ordered a cheese and sausage. The pizza awful. Undercooked mushy crust, hardly any sausage on it and what was on it was very crumbled, not chunky and laid on thick like normal. Even the sauce was bland. The Iced tea I ordered was like water and never saw the waitress for a alternate beverage until the pizza was served. Very bad experience and I can not recommend this particular Beggars facility.

My parents ordered 2 pizzas today the one was completely fine. But the family size one was absolutely disgusting. It had huge bald spot all over, little to no sauce, and it didn’t look or taste cooked all the way. This is the second bad pizza we’ve had here. The one in dyer and valpo are way better than this one

The pizza was not like the other Beggar’s I’ve been to. There was not enough cheese on it. Beggar’s is known for their cheese. There was too much sauce. It was not as flavorful as what I have experienced at the Lansing and Gary (Broadway) locations. They were very friendly and went over and beyond with service. The dining area was nice as well. It accommodates large parties.

Pizza is always delivered hot and cheesy! Always delivered before the delivery time that is told online and the delivery guys have been friendly. Being from Chicago thr pizza definitely reminds me of home which is nice.
