An 40-50’s era old fashioned drive in restaurant with a canopy and abundant parking. We are open every day from the end of February until the very beginning of October, with the exception of Easter and 4th of July. We sell delicious regionally famous homemade rootbeer and Redhots (our hot dogs with special sweet chili sauce).

Jaenicke’s has been around for decades. It was a favorite for, my friends and I, when we were kids and teens in the 80s and 90s. Although I moved away almost 30 years ago when I am in town visiting family and friends, I stop by to get a red hot with the classic sauce and rootbeer float. Still delicious after all these years.

Childhood memories. It still stands. One of the few safe places one can relax outside and get a blast from the past. The hot dogs and fries were delicious. The root beer was smooth and sweet w vanilla. Oh, how I miss the glass mugs. I miss the waitress coming to my car. This is not Jaenikes fault. They are just being safe and keeping the price down.

Well I was misinformed by a Ryan Clayton bc there are no fried green tomatoes here but all the food is beyond good definitely worth the trip in my opinion. This place ALWAYS reminds me of my grandmothers and always will. I will be posting photos as soon as the deliciousness is all done.

This is the spot that we always stopped for fried pickles. We were so disappointed that they no longer serve them. We settled for a few of the hotdog versions, that left a lot to be desired. Bring back the fried pickles please.
