The food is nothing short of terrific! The chef used to cook for Bombay Indian Grill, so if you liked the food there, you will definitely like it here. The ambiance is a bit like a deli or diner, but no matter: The food is wonderful, served hot and sizzling, with a riot of flavors and colors! The service is quick and the servers polite.

Decent place to get Indian food. Being an Indian myself not the most authentic place I have been to but I only know of two truly authentic Indian restaurant and one is in Chicago and the other in Atlanta. Anyway food is good for most people this restaurant serves. Most Indians I know in this area prefer this place over others in Champaign area.

We ordered to-go and the food was great! We ordered Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Tikka, Bindi Masala, Lamb Saag, Chicken Curry, Vegetable Curry, Dal Makhani, Naan, and Kheer. Sitara really has great Tandoori Chicken and Chicken Tikka-the flavor is smoky and the meat is moist and tender–tandoor-licious! The curries were good, and the Kheer was creamy and delicious. We ordered all that food for 5 people and we had another meal+ for each of us left-over. The service is excellent, and the prices reasonable for the portions served. We called ahead and got patient assistance navigating the menu in our search for non-dairy dishes. Great experience overall.

Superb Dal Tadka and each dish either cones with a bread or rice. Have to go again to try other veg dishes. Was recommended n worth it. I think rice quality can improve though they were good, would expect higher quality Basmati but I could be wrong. Dev n team were very receptive and quick. Tomato soup was fantastic. Located next to parking bldg, cinema and few bars, we went on sweet corn festival and had fun there too. Keep up folks.

I honestly haven’t had food this good in a very long time. It was beyond amazing. The waiter was very kind and never disappointed. The atmosphere is great, they play indian music and tv. We are only visiting Illinois for family and now this place has become a must visit for us.

Still the best place for Indian food in my opinion. The lamb curry and biryani are my go-to choices. Mango lassi is refreshing and helps cut the spice burn. Prices are good for what you get.

Best Indian food in Champaign-Urbana; however the service is horrible. We had to wait 30 minutes for a seat and never got one. They did seat a group of three people before us even though we got there first, the group didn’t have a reservation, and we were only a party of two. We had to sit at the bar which is not ideal… finally, we didn’t get our appetizer for another 30 minutes. If you plan on going there, expect to be there for about two hours.

Ordered takeout and was waiting at the bar for 50 minutes before they got us our food. They didn’t do anything to communicate to us why it was taking so long. However, I ordered the paneer tikki masala and it was soooo delicious! Disappointing experience but I’ll definitely be back because the food is so good.

Went there yesterday and the food was OUTSTANDING. I had never eaten Indian food, but My Niece and her Boyfriend took us there and needless to say I fell in love with the food. I going back to Lubbock, Texas and look for me some Indian food as good as this was , but I doubt it very serious. OK Sitara we need your restaurant in Lubbock, TX. Three thumbs up.
