I placed an order for delivery. It was quick and the food was still hot. Everything looked freshly made. One of the buns was overcooked, which made the bread tuff on the top. I tore it off and kept going. Everything else had good flavor and was neatly packaged with labels.

This was my first time at bao’d up and on top of the food being amazing and ready quickly, Alex provided above and beyond service! He was so friendly and really made my experience here a 10/10. Plus the decorations and atmosphere was so welcoming and unique. I 100% will be coming back and recommending this place to friends!

Really great style for the restaurant! Super yummy food and awesome drinks. I had the pork combo which tasted amazing and was super interesting. The Szechuan fries were a bit too spicy for me but still tasted great! My husband had 8pc fried wonton plate and it was very good. We both had drinks I got the Austin Sunrise which is a serious treat so definitely try that and my husband got the Dragon Juice. Overall great environment and a personal greeting from the general manager Gabby and I would assume the owner.

Great Customer Service better than Chick-fil-a. I was very disappointed with my online ordering that happen with Uber. Erik john did such a great job. I was very frustrated, but he restored my faith into the brand. I never tried the food but now I definitely recommend When I finally went to the store, these are the people who help me out and they were fantastic Christian, Sabines, Rashard and Daniella I left out with joy and a smile. Definitely deserve a raise!!

Yummy bao! The fries have a great flavor but seemed a little soggy. Chicken teriyaki bao was our favorite. Great prices and a cute atmosphere as well as outdoor seating.

I’m SO confused about the hype. 4.5 stars? Nah. I had to keep checking to make sure I was at the right place. Subpar food. Like- I wouldn’t even say the food was good it was very ehh. Actually it was kinda gross. Everything tasted like it was frozen before they made it. It’s a little spot like a quick grab lunch spot nothing fancy. I wasn’t impressed at all. The service was cool. Prices are low. Didn’t finish the food had to force myself to eat that much. Trust me I was VERY HUNGRY when I walked in. Flavors were terrible. Would not ever be returning. 2/5 stars.

Decent. Don’t expect to be blown away by anything here. You can definitely find better authentic bao if you look, but this is serviceable! The food is hot, the flavor is rich, and the price for a full combo is more than reasonable. The biggest “issue” is the food is forgettable. There are options nearby that are much more appetizing. That said, you won’t regret going here. My fries were extremely overcooked and crispy to a fault.

we ordered online, and the food was alright! the bun part was nice but the filling was a bit of a letdown 🙁 the thai tea tasted mostly like milk and the fries were not very good, either. we also found out that we were missing 4 of our 8 baos when we got home. they told us that we could either go pick them up or come back another day to receive them, so it seems that they may not have a refund policy(?). that usually wouldn’t be a problem, but our group was hungry, we aren’t from austin, and the hotel parking is a nightmare, so it was complicated to go back and get them. they were VERY kind and apologetic about the mix up and they corrected it! we just expected more based on the reviews, and if you’re ordering online, you may want to check your bag before leaving
