The sauce on the duck spoke a foreign language to my taste buds! They are in love! I’m soooo sorry they closed!

Escargot was the best I’ve ever had in my life. Literally, no exaggeration. Other food items were excellent. Service was also excellent. Atmosphere was very private and personal without being suffocating. I was sad to see that the restaurant wasn’t packed. Probably because it’s expensive and doesn’t seem inviting from the outside.

Cacharel is a beautiful restaurant and the food is good, but if you have any sensitivity to MSG I would avoid it. When we ate there the manager was unable to identify anything they used or got from a supplier but my husband was deathly ill for 4 days. We would have returned had they been able to identify the culprit, but can’t trust they were thorough enough to eliminate either the duck or escargot that was the source of msg.

Great find, thanks to YELP! Also, heard a patron mention their Groupon, and found one. Certainly a fine-dining experience, yet worth the price if you’re into great food prepared with attention to detail. Chris, our waiter, was great and the Dover Sole and Norwegian Salmon were perfect…oh, and the souflee…jeez! We’ll be back…. Oh, and the view…if you can, reserve a window on a clear night, DO IT!!

DON’T ORDER THE “KOBE BEEF” My wife and I were on our last leg of out vacation and decided on this restaurant to top off our trip. It had great reviews and the menu looked great. My wife had the rack of lamb and escargot and it was great! I ordered the 13oz “kobe beef” NY strip with potatoes au gratin. A $75+ piece of meat by itself (a la cart) Having “kobe beef in several other establishments my expectations were high (and should be at that price). Stake came out prepared to my liking ( medium rare) and I cut into the meat…tough…okay, I thought, it’s my first cut, no problem. Second cut, still tough. Hmmm, I thought. I called the waiter over thinking that this strip may have been mistaken for the 14oz NY strip (and so on the menu) and asked him if this was the Kobe?…he looked and said yes sir, it is…not curious as to why I asked he departed, never asking if there was an issue. Am I the only person who thinks this would be a flag? I continued eating the steak driven by hope it would get better and the price I was paying…it didn’t get any better and I didn’t finish the steak. At least the potatoes were great! The waiter never asked how we liked our meal but he did ask how our desert was! Wierd…

Sorry. Not for me. I usually eat in Dallas. Service was just average. Food doesn’t fit the price. Not fresh. How do I know? I spend about a thousand to two per months just from eating out.

The food melts in your mouth. The salads, the filet mignon, and the salmon were to die for….The view is great and the ambiance is relaxing. It is definitely a place for a couple in love and a place to celebrate a birthday or anniversary.

Whenever I travel to Dallas I always look forward to lunch or dinner at Cacharel. I’ve been there a dozen times and must say their escargot in puff pastry is my favorite appetizer – EVER.
