A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. Excellent visit, as always. Started out a bit on the bad side as it took a moment to be greeted and our order taken. But it kept getting better. The food was hot and freshly cooked. The tea was just made. Two different employees at different times apologized for the wait. We visit this store quite frequently and the service and food is usually excellent. They were having a bad moment, but they really made up for it.

The shrimp and okra wasnt cooked thoroughly. I didn’t want to go there but my friend did this time to eat. A couple of months ago I got food poisoning from Captain D’s in Carrollton. I was so sick so be careful eating there.

The dining room was dirty. Employees on break or off work sitting in the back of dining room were loud and using vulgar language. The food was good,BUT, the drink fountain abs counter with the condiments and sauces was filthy.

We ordered 2 Cajun fish and shrimp dinners and the fries,and hush puppies were 1/2 cooked the fish was a very small piece and the shrimp were also small definitely not worth 18$.

Me & my GMA ate here & we were both food poisoned, we were sick for 2 days . I spoke with an employee that I know & works here personally & he/she told me “At This Specific Location they only change the cooking grease every 2 days” that explains why people are getting sick from this place because I’m not the only person this has happened too . Stay away from here . Bring LONG JOHN SILVERS BACK to Carrollton
