“Franklin’s Barbecue is without a doubt the pinnacle of Texan barbecue experiences in the entire state. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by the warmest staff, creating an inviting atmosphere that immediately set the tone for the meal. The smoky aroma that enveloped the air was a prelude to the incredible flavors that awaited. Every bite of their barbecue was a journey into the world of perfectly balanced smokiness and tenderness, a testament to their mastery of the craft. The staff’s friendliness and attentiveness elevated the experience even further, making me feel like a welcomed guest rather than just a customer. With a flawless service score of 100 out of 100, Franklin’s Barbecue not only meets expectations but exceeds them on every level. Without a doubt, I’m already eagerly looking forward to my next visit. Franklin’s has truly set the bar impossibly high for any other barbecue joint to follow.”

Delicious BBQ and everyone knows it! The line was out the door and it took about 35 minutes to get through the queues. Was it worth it? Heck Yes! Meat is sold by the pound and I purchased a quarter pound of moist brisket, pork fibs and a jalapeño cheese sausage link with a side of slaw. Fabulous! I selected their spicy sauce and a Lone Star. Get there early because once they sell out that’s it for the day!

There is awesome BBQ and there is Franklin’s which is better than awesome! Brisket is phenomenal. I am not a beef rib fan, but Franklin’s has changed that! House sausage was very good as well. Do the Texas thing and get in line at 6:30 am, make new friends and wait for them to open. Take a chair with you or use one of many that were donated. I will be back for sure.

What can I say about this place which hasn’t already been said. It’s Franklin’s and for my money it’s the best brisket in Texas (maybe anywhere).

Second time here, and I think it’s best to just stick with the brisket, that’s his best item. I also had a giant beef rib, but it was way too greasy, just packed with it. The brisket is way less greasy and that’s the item to go to. I liked his original sauce, it was actually pretty good. As for all the service here, the folks who work here couldn’t be friendlier, they go out of the way to make sure you’re taken care of and feel at home. My rating of the three stars is just for the beef rib, because it had a lot of Grease, but the brisket’s okay.

It’s been decades since I’ve eaten this barbecue—and had never eaten at the restaurant.

We waited 2 hours and it was worth it! For the brisket alone! It’s mouth watering with the perfect amount of seasoning. It was so tender you could barely pick it up with a fork! Delicious! The ribs, sausage and beans were great too. The coleslaw was pretty basic. The only negative I have, was the banana bourbon pie, the texture was off. Otherwise, great job Franklin!

Best Brisket I ever had. Waited in line for about 2 hours even though we got there an hour before opening. It was actually worth every second waiting. Tried the sausages and ribs but the brisket by far was the absolute best. Be sure to get in line early because they can and will run out of food. They have someone go through the line to estimate if they will have the food you want by the time you get in.

Arrived at 9am on a Wednesday with my wife. First time here but knew I needed to arrive early. They had lots of chairs we could use while waiting. Once they were open only took 25 minutes to get inside. The brisket, ribs, and sausage were all great! Been wanting to come for years and the wait was well worth it.

I travel half the country for work, and this is hands down the best BBQ I’ve had. Even over Tennessee and Kansas. The brisket and ribs melted like butter with a perfect crisp bark. The sides are right there in great flavor with the Texas beans and cole slaw.
