Growing up blocks from the Soulard pizzeria, and working in the hospitality industry her entire working career, Joanie always knew she wanted to open her own restaurant. Seeing a need for a great pizza restaurant in Soulard, Joanie opened the first Joanie’s in 1994. It was a huge success with local Soulardians, businesses, and people around the greater metro St. Louis area. In 2003, Joanie opened Joanie’s To-Go to meet the needs of neighborhood businesses, residents and the growing population of the downtown area for a restaurant that delivers.

Here is the wonderful deal! The atmosphere was outstanding you have to love a mom and pop restaurant because, only there can you feel like you’re in your own Mother’s kitchen. Now, let me tell you about the food the portions were gigantic. I had meat lasagna and spinach lasagna both were outstanding. The lady that took my order was friendly and courteous but most of all there were people in the back saying thank you for coming in. Now that is customer service. Starting at the front door; that’s where it begins. Now, if you haven’t ate at this restaurant you’re cheating yourself out of a wonderful experience. You’re cheating yourself out of great authentic St Louis cook food. Now that would be a crime. What are you waiting for go try this place out!

Service is great friendly fast delivery. The pizza only thin crust, sauce was watery not much flavor, i think they try to make up for lack of flavor by covering the entire pizza with a pepper mix that im not a fan of, never been a fan of round pizza cut into squares always preferable to do the wedge slice. Personal opinion of course but gotta work on the sauce and loose the pepper coat.

So good! We walked in and got a large order and the wait was great. Not too long at all. We got a couple of pizzas, some apps and lasagna. All were amazing. The Doug’s as a double crust was so delicious! And it was beautiful! We came for a weekend trip but we will be back to Joanie’s to go when we drive through!

Other than my bacon burning on top of my pizza. My first time going to Joanies 2 go location was good. But not great. Had a couple red spots on my pie. For the price I expect more cheese to be used.

Worst pizza I have ever had. Had little to no pizza sauce on it. We were using the sauce that comes with the chess sticks just to eat the pizza.

I was craving hot wings for lunch today and stumbled across Joanie’s while looking for places on Google. I did order through Grubhub but I had to call them to ask for extra sauce on my wings. The customer service was superb she took my name before my order came through and promised she would have it together for me. The wings and the salad were spot on very delicious.Also the lunch special price is very reasonable. I will be ordering again soon
