We actually stumbled upon this place and found it refreshing. Had the best fried oysters and fries. It’s a full bar so have at it. I had the jalapeño margarita and my wife had a rum bucket fruity drink. Delicious. Bartender was friendly and helpful on drink selection. Absolutely perfect view of the ocean. It’s a low key place and that’s what we like.

Food was great even with the establishment being super slow. The pictures of the inside aren’t correct, those pictures are of the Oceanblue restaurant in the middle of the hotel. Southern Tide is right on the pier across from the gift shop and has much more of a bar vibe. Not a bad place by any means and I have zero complaints.

This place was a great spot to grab a bite after spending the day on the beach and not wanting to stray too far from our hotels. We took advantage of all the fried foods on the menu and were satisfied. The pros were the hush puppies, fried pickles, and shrimp, Po boy included. The burger was good too and filling enough to save half for later. The cons were that the chicken was a bit too salty while the flounder was a bit under seasoned. We all had one of their specialty drinks to finish the night off. Not only were they “pretty” but they were pretty good!

A lucky circumstance brought us here, and I’m glad we gave this place a chance! We tried to get in at a nearby restaurant, but the other place had a 45 minute wait to be seated. We came here instead and were seated immediately, overlooking the ocean. We shared hush puppies; they were amazing, slightly sweet and spicy, and served with a sweet butter. I had grilled shrimp tacos. The shrimp were very good with a spicy coating, served in flour tortillas with a creamy coleslaw. The other diner had a chicken quesadilla, and he said it was very good. I would go again!

Clean areas and pretty good food. Slow service but there was only one employee working and he kept a positive attitude for every customer! The only negative thing about this place is probably that it’s a bit noisy because of how small it is.
