I liked this place! The atmosphere was perfect giving you the option of dining room experience or sit at the bar with a television. The setup was nice as these two areas were separated, whereas the bar area was not visible from the dining area. The food was good with a nice choice of BBQ sauce that was at the table. I did have a candied bacon cheeseburger, and it was cooked perfectly. The other meal was pork egg rolls, and those could use a little more flavor, but they were still good. I will come back next year when I visit.

Our family has been ordering the family specials the last year or so. Our grandkids that live with us really like it too. We get ours to go but when I pick it up I enjoy a beer or two. (Get there early). The sliced brisket is spot on. All of the foods and sides are really good especially the baked beans. The smoked turkey is great. The staff have always been friendly with me. I really enjoy everything about Sonny’s in Frankfort!!

Mandy was fantastic!!! It was our first time eating at Sonny’s. She made great suggestions, was friendly and prompt. We ordered so many things to try and everything was delicious….everything!!! Prices were very fair for the servings of food!! The pulled pork egg rolls….yum!

It was a last-minute lunch spot, and we were glad we stopped. Good BBQ and all the sides you expect in a BBQ restaurant. Also, a good selection of beverages. In addition, they have options for someone on a low-carb diet.

We got there at about 3:45 p.m. and it wasn’t that busy. It was a little strange that one person seated us and got us our drinks, someone else asked us if we needed drinks when we already had them, and yet another person was the one who took our order and served us the rest of the time. Haha. We ordered the brisket, pulled chicken platters, and kids mac and cheese. For one of the platters we were swapped out the default sides of cole slaw and baked beans for mac and cheese and crinkle fries, but all four of these sides we had were delicious. The brisket and pulled chicken were so good. Prices were fair and service was great. Inside decor was very modern and well thought out.

I’ve only done drive through here, but the people I have interacted with have been 100% the chillest, nicest people. It’s not the fastest drive thru but meets expectations for a fast casual with a window for to go rather than expecting a fast food experience.

We placed a pick up order, and waited in the assigned parking spot, called the number that was requested, after 20 minutes. No one came out to our car. So then I had to go in and wait another 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge me and get my food. The manager on duty took our bill and didn’t charge us and apologized.
