It was good. They do offer cute shaped pancakes which is why I wanted to try this place, my 7 year old loved the shape and decorations. The flavor was alright, nothing bad, nothing exceptional. I did love the home fries, they were cooked and seasoned well.

This morning, we decided to try a new place for breakfast. We were on our way back to Maine and decided to try The Peabody Diner. It’s a small place, almost looks like it was once a corner gas station a long time ago. It was very clean and bright, with customers sitting at simple tables both inside and out, as well as people sitting at the counter. I had the traditional eggs benedict. Very simple, two halves of an English muffin with thin slices of Canadian bacon! Most places I have been to serve thick, round slices I often find to be too salty. Not here. These were thin slices, not salty at all, just enough to add to the flavor of the meal without totally taking over. The eggs were perfectly cooked, perfectly runny. The sauce was so creamy, just the right amount, not too much. There were homemade potatoes on the side, cooked perfectly….I love the crunchy ones that are slightly over-cooked. The staff was friendly and very busy. It would have been nice to be offered a second cup of coffee as we were driving for a few hours after, but we also could see they were very busy, so we didn’t want to bother them. My husband had a 3-egg omelet with homemade corned beef hash, which he said was very tasty. The omelet was just the way he liked it, not overly stuffed with filling. It was the perfect place for breakfast on a Sunday morning.

Great diner atmosphere…very clean…greeted by a beautiful smile from one of the ladys that work behind the counter. The food was superb. Bulls Eye Burger, delicious waffle, and Sparagus Bacon Benedict…ufff!

Food was excellent and very reasonably priced for the portion. Service was fantastic. We sat outside with our dogs and our server brought us water bowls for them without even asking. This place was packed on a Tuesday at 11:30am, the locals must know it’s a good spot. Very happy that we happened to pass by when we were hungry.
