Cafe Rio as a whole is fantastic Mexican fast food, IMO. This location, however, is abysmal. Twice we ordered online and showed up at the appropriate time, only to see that the employees hadn’t even started on our order. With no one in the restaurant, they moved so slowly that the first time it happened, I waited 20 minutes to receive my food. I thought it was a fluke so I ordered again a month or so later and it happened again. After waiting 30 minutes past the estimated time for pickup (and having the employee tell us they were working on it when they clearly were not—you can see into the kitchen), we canceled the order and walked out without our $50+ order. Do yourself and a local business a solid and try Senior Chiles instead.

I was in town visiting my Midshipmen when he suggested this place for lunch~ I ordered tacos with the BBQ pork and side of guard and chips. The food was EXCELLENT ~ The prices were great and EVERYONE was extremely friendly ~ I am definitely going to make them a regular stop when I’m visiting Maryland.

Months ago I would have recommended this location to a lot of people but not anymore. Recently, things have gone downhill. The service is slow, pork has lost its quality, and now today, I waited an extra hour for my two-person order of food. Orders submitted 30 minutes after mine were completed and placed out.
